Hi, I'm curious to know if agencies regularly have the girls get std tests. It seems to me like it would be a good practice to observe, but I haven't heard it talked about and a forum search didn't really bring anything up. Thanks!

No, agencies do not 'test' their girls. They figure it's not their responsibility to and that it's up to the girls to get tested, without asking them to unless someone makes a private complaint about so-and-so may have given them something or that 'someone' suggests someone they may have seen should go and get tested since they later learned they caught something.

Testing does not prevent infection it only detects infection after it has occurred. The only way to completely eliminate the possibility of infection is abstinence. Ways to reduce risk is to be in a mutually monogamous relationship where the both of you had an STD test that confirmed negative for all diseases, and the other way is to use protection - condoms, dental dams, and latex gloves (zero exchange of bodily fluids).
