If God wanted me to believe he exist, it would have shown itself by now, to me, personally, or spoken to me, personally. In its infinite power and wisdom and omnipotence and whatnot, can it not reveal itself to me aside from going to church on sundays or reading a re-edited text about it? Please, the Bible is a story book, like all the other religious books, all fantasy.
That's assuming god cares about anybody knowing he exists. Would you go after every ant in your garden to let all of them know you exist?
The image of god as we perceive it will be irrelevant once we are able to eliminate any suffering and struggle.

Look behind you.
Quite right, as we may see quite clearly in the next while (the Iran stuff). Sol Tee Nutz is rather cloudy on a few issues though... not worth pointing out the obvious.

Let me know when something Trump does effects you.

Do you honestly not believe that the decisions and policies by the United States affects the rest of the world? Economics, science, arts, climate (I know you think that's a hoax), etc....?

How weird. You realize he just assassinated a major political figure in the middle east, right? You don't think that will have ramifications outside of the area? (even as little as the oil price, which has just jumped?)

Anyway, your premise is too naive to take seriously and in any case... is not the topic of this thread.

^^^^^^ Send me a PM of something Trump did that effected you. Not a difficult question but hard to answer.
BTW.. I have never claimed climate change was a hoax, please show some reference to your claim. Take your time, something else you can not do.

Biblical account :

When Onan had sex with Tamar, he withdrew before his orgasm and "spilled his seed [or semen] on the ground", since any child born would not legally be considered his heir. The next statement in the Bible says that Onan did evil and that God slew him.

Go forth, and spill thy seed no more. Brethren.

They say poverty and poor education ( ignorance) are the friends of religion. So that being said today’s technology and science have made god ( religion) irrelevant.
Us humans always searched for the meaning of our existence and so early on religion was able to somehow answer these questions

As for myself I’m not really a practising Christian ( although I really like some old Christian traditions back in the old country) . I’m not for organized , institutionalized religion but I am somewhat spiritual and believe in a higher power ... in time we shall all find out :)

Given that most have been told about The bible and have not actually read it by themselves, for themselves and to themselves it follows that any comment on the issue of The bible is ignorance or faith based. Simple

Well put . Everyone needs to find their own Yoko Ono in this life to believe in , ideally one that can actually sing otherwise one must keep the mic away from her or she will become the thing by which you will measure your pain

@ Cloudsurf exactly it won’t matter much where were both going ,,, as the good book says in Isaiah something “ no rest for the wicked “ ;)

Sorry, no.....

The only times I reference God:
When someone sneezes - “God Bless You”
Certain Songs like “God Bless America”
During Climax “God, oh God, OH GOD”.... Thanks Heaven!

LOL. Indeed - one man's Heaven may be another man's Hell.

This made me think of the novel American Gods (also TV show) where the old gods of mythology (like Odin, Loki, etc.) are slowly being replaced by the new gods of today's society - technology, media, celebrity, drugs and money. So in this world people didn't stop believing in gods, they just shifted their belief to new gods.
