If God wanted me to believe he exist, it would have shown itself by now, to me, personally, or spoken to me, personally. In its infinite power and wisdom and omnipotence and whatnot, can it not reveal itself to me aside from going to church on sundays or reading a re-edited text about it? Please, the Bible is a story book, like all the other religious books, all fantasy.
Mind you, if there is a Godly plan, this is all part of it. To what avail? No one knows but God. It also means that if there is a plan, you don't have to do shit, it's all part of the plan. God wills it. How can my will be stronger than God's? Oh yes, I was created in his (it) image, right , right! So do I have it's powers? No, you're just a clone of God, no super powers but, you can reproduce yourself and you're mortal, which is a gift really, cause gods are so bored with immortality, they're just dying out of boredom, up there, in the clouds.
Did I say gods? Yes cause you see, the first religions we're polytheists, they believed in more gods because they didn't shit about Jack shit. So all those gods we're responsible for everything we didn't understand. Then as humans understood more shit, those gods responsible for the shit we didn't know about, they we're relieved of their Sacred duties such as fertility, crops growth, rain, the sun and moon cycle. So then we had fewer gods down to just one, see it like Neo of the Matrix, and this One God, now with all its power concentrated on the shit we humans still didn't know how it worked, is still the reigning God, until we humans understand the rest of the shit we still don't understand. And then, god will be no more when we humans understand it all.
It's called evolution.
