French debate was a lot more exiting than english debate, and far more exiting than this thread, I admit. Duceppe est passé de pourri à très bon. Again, get ready for a Michael-Jack-Gilles coalition on may 3rd. This is the worst and the best thing we can expect in this big big country.

And... Harper & Iggy sont resté pourris :)

Canada is the only country i know where a separatist party whose goal is to break up Canada is financed by the tax dollars of all Canadians. They're a federal party, yet you can only vote for them in Quebec. Incredible!

What i hate about Canadian politics is that the two top parties are nearly identical to one another. Both corrupt as hell, both owned by special interests groups, and both with very boring leaders. The rest of the parties are usually the ones with the foil..the bufoon...with crazy ideas...take your pick among the NDP or the Bloc Quebecois. The Green Party? Fogedaboutit!

1st-Since the Bloc can't form the governement how in the hell do you want the Bloc to break up Canada ? Les epouvantailles et le bonhomme sept heure y'e au pouvoir a chaque elections !
2nd-The Bloc isn't the only 'regional party'. Wake up ! and I suggest you travel a bit in the world.
3rd-Now you're right ! Canada is one of the stupidest country where you indefinitely end-up with one of the 2 jack*ass parties that screws its citizens over and over again without any scrupules none what'so ever, no matter if they're minority or majority.
4th-This election is once again a total waste of money because once again, a stupid moron presiding over a minority gov. acts as if he was the king d'une republique de bananes.

5rd-God it feels good :)

Completely agree with you there JH Fan!
If anything, it's time we hand the country over to the NDP and let them mop up the mess the grits + tories created and allow to get outta hand.

I saw the first debate and as soon as Layton showed he would cowtow to the demands of Quebec when Duceppe cornered him, he lost my vote. Duceppe showed the ugly Quebecois racist underbelly when the topic of multi-culturalism was discussed. I was almost expecting him to start chanting "le Quebec pour Quebecois" right there on stage. Besides, the Bloc can never form the government so voting for them is a wasted vote. They can cry all they want about Quebec wanting more and needing more but will never be able to do anything about it. Harper is just Harper. Bush light. Ignatief - well I just don't like the guy but of the only two parties that can form a government, I'm willing to take a shot on him and see what he can do. If he crashes and burns either in the election or after if he gets a chance to form the government, he won't last long as leader. I think he's just an interim leader in any case, only there until Justin Trudeau gains enough political experience to take over the party. If Harper ends up with another minority which is probably the way things will go, it won't last long and in two years or so, maybe less, it will be Harper against Trudeau.

Completely absurd and sarcastic ! just like I luv them !

I can just picture Justin Trudeau at the G8 "Euh ! euh ! scu 'scusez ! Escusez je sais que j'ressemble a Stephane dion mais quand meme.... je voudrais parler ! tsé ? scuse me ? euh ! est-ce que je peux parler ? I want TO talk ! youhou ! je suis premier ministre du Canada ! pourriez-vous me laisser parler un peu ? j'parle pas ben fort mais j'vous jure vous allez m'aimer apres ! sniff !"

I totally agree with you on this, Tech. Personally speaking, i believe the Bloc is doing much more damage to Quebec than it is doing any good.

Same ol' retoric ! In the last semi-recession of 2008-2009 Quebec hasn't been affected like... Ontario ? for instance !
While... the Bloc was in Ottawa !

Funny isn't it ?

Hey les tinamis ? wake up !

Le bonhomme sept heure c'est pour les enfants !
