This has been my experience as well with a few exceptions. The exceptions occur, not just with Euphoria but with other agencies, with girls who come from the rural country well north and east of Montreal to work as escorts in Montreal. In the past James and some other agencies hired girls that came from 2-6 hours drive from Montreal to work as escorts on the weekends. These were usually the ladies who had poor English skills. Once you leave Montreal proper and venture deep into the Quebec countryside, you are fucked if you can’t speak any French. That’s why if you make such a trip you should always bring a French speaking friend, in case the car breaks down, you get pulled over by cops or whatever. English isn’t happening for you in those rural enclaves. And the ladies from these areas are the ones who usually have primitive English language skills which, in any event, may still be better than your suck-ass French.
Sorry to say, but "listening to songs from the States" doesn't make you bilingual in any way. Only practice does. Movies with english subs activated may help on the long term, but most people don't do this. There's nothing like a good immersion travel to pick-up a foreign language.
If it were that easy, everyone in the entire world would be fluent in English since American music and movies are heard and seen all over the world -- people actually sing along to American songs even if they don't fully understand the lyrics.
In my experience, a number of Euphoria ladies (and we are talking about Euphoria ladies on this thread) told me they learned proficient English by listening to American music and watching American movies. Case in point: Julia and Helena, whom I met recently. In fact, I carried on a decent conversation with each even though they did not undergo any English language immersion program. My trick: be very nice to them and bond with them. When I'm paying over 220$ an hour, I make sure I am extra nice to the ladies so I can get the best possible mileage with them -- mileage for me is about making human connections with them, the sex, which often comes naturally, is icing on the cake and very welcomed.
I don't need to be bilingual in every country I travel to make human connections with the local folks or the local escorts. Like I said, sex is a universal language. If a lady (yes, an escort especially) likes me, she will speak that universal language very well, indeed.

Linguists tell me it's easier for a native French speaker to learn English than for a native English speaker to learn French (which is way more complex and more beautiful, IMHO). Hence, young Quebecois are able to pick up English easily through popular culture and their Anglophone friends and neighbors, the reverse isn't always true for Anglophones who try to learn French by watching French language TV programs or listen to French language radio stations.
I remember talking to a native French speaker at Montreal reception at the airport. He said French is such a bourgeois language. English was made so all the people could speak it but languages like French were made so complex so you could, within a few seconds of speaking, distinguish which class a person was from. I think Portuguese is like this as well. English was simplified at some point by dropping gender. It is what it is and it just makes it harder for all us Anglo speakers to learn another language but it is fun to try.
