Not a real TV series per definition but more like a reality show. It's Japanese and called Kiss or Die.
The setting is few actors are invited to film an advertisement. In reality they are brought into an all improvised/as lib situation where there is a storyline they follow.
Funny part is most of the actresses are AV actresses that try at first to make the actors kiss them :p

I recently watched "The Lowdown" on Hulu, which stars Ethan Hawke and Kyle MacLachlan. I enjoyed it. Hawke's character is based on a real life writer/"Truthstorian" in Tulsa, Oklahoma who specialized in expose reporting. It's a little bit slow in developing over the first few episodes, but gets more interesting as it goes along. I would give it a B+.

I am now watching the recently released season 3 of Dark Winds on Netflix. It's equally as good as the prior seasons but is a bit darker and has significant "horror" film elements, particularly climaxing in episode 6. The season explores more deeply the Native American cultural connection to monsters and the supernatural, but this becomes somewhat of a metaphor for the monsters that exist within some of us.

On a sad note, legendary actor Robert Redford, who recently passed away and was involved in the production of the series, had his very last acting credit in episode 1. He is a prisoner in lockup at the NTP and is playing chess with another prisoner when Leaphorn annoyingly tells Redford's opponent what his next move should be. Redford looks very old, but healthy in the scene.

Landman written by Taylor Sheridan,
Good cast and funny dialogues.

I absolutely love this show!!!

It really puts into perspective just how much the green energy movement is more of a scam than a solution. The way it highlights the contradictions and hidden agendas behind it all is eye-opening. It’s crazy how things that are marketed as “saving the planet” are often just another way to profit off of people’s good intentions.

We’d be nowhere without “dirty energy”.

Lol....whaaaaaa? Sounds like conspiracy theories to me...:D

I've heard good things about this show. The fact that the show is from Taylor Sheridan and Billy Bob is supposedly in it has my interest piqued.

When my TV queue clears up, will (eventually) get around to seeing it.

Landman is excellent, but the only thing I have a hard time getting past is the relationship between Billy Bod and his wife. That is difficult to look past and ignore for me.

That woman is incredibly hot & sexy, and well .. Billy Bob.... not so much. That couple is unrealistic to say the least.

Other than that the show is one of the best currently playing

Landman is fun, but we have to remember that it's a tv ahow and not the real world. Billy Bob's viral monologue is full of statements that are patently false. We need to remember that fictional programs for tv are for entertainment, not information or education.

I'm kind of surprised that people always forget Billy Bob and Angelina too. They bragged about their weirdness and their kinky sex together, they wore those matching blood amulets around their necks. They seemed perfectly suited as greaky weirdos together. Brad Pitt seemed utterly bland in comparison. lol

That Murderbot show looks like it could be a lot lf fun. Will have to give it a watch.

Yeah the number of people who repost his little diatribe about wind farms on fb (and inadvertently doing the misinformation grunt work for multinational oil companies) is unsettling.

Sure, it’s not real life, but these shows often draw on real world themes or ideologies which can spark important conversations (preferably not on merb tho - LOL).

Just because something is fictional doesn’t mean it’s exempt from being thought-provoking or reflecting real world issues. If people can’t recognize the social or political implications of what they see on screen / differentiate it from a script that’s focused on a specific theme, then the real issue might be with the person watching hahaha. Not every show gets every detail perfectly realistic down to a T (crime shows, medical dramas, and so on).

It’s also unsettling how blindly people are pushing this whole green / net-zero agenda without considering the practical consequences. It’s almost as if people forget that the push for “green” energy is driven by corporations / governments with their own interests (many of which are just as profit-driven as the oil companies they claim to oppose).
➡️A great example of this is Brookfield. The millions invested in pipelines is staggering, all while pushing for net zero. LMAO.

But hey! It’s just screenplay, “fun” and not happening at all in the real world…

Have a great weekend ❤️
