I made it today EB..turned out pretty good, but the recipe should probably call for a little salt IMO

Salt is something that is very subjective..........these recipes always have to be modified to taste. I actually ended up modifying this recipe, which does not call for ANY salt, likely because the crab you use may have added salt as do the other ingredients. However, my modification to this recipe was as follows:

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/23950/easy-crab-and-horseradish-dip/

Once I added all the above ingredients, as well as the 1/2 cup mixed shredded Mexican cheeses and chopped scallions, I realized it just wasn't going to be enough to feed 11 Christmas guests. So I went out to buy more cream cheese and canned crab. The only problem was Stop & Shop, Big Y, and Shop Rite were all closed, and the only store I found open was Walgreen's. So I went to Walgreen's and they had bars of cream cheese but no canned crab. But they did have Snow's chopped clams. So I bought the chopped clams. And it ended up being a "Crab and Clam Horseradish Dip."

Before you put it in the oven you should sample the dip to see if it needs anything. I did not find my dip lacked salt. In any event it was completely finished by the guests. So yeah for 10 plus people you have to double the recipe. But if you make it again taste it and see if you think it needs something else. Recipes almost always need to be modified to be perfected.
