EBS, that was an exceptionally informative post for any FTC. Thank you for you time and effort.
I do have a couple of start-up questions. With regard to a HDH in particular, would it be out of line to request (politely insist) them to ``freshen up`` prior to commencing, should they do not make the initiative themselves? I realize that, in most cases, they are professional and courteous, and because of that they may be insulted. And for you, even though you have prepared yourself prior to the engagement (i.e. showered, presentable), do you typically freshen up as well, as a considerate gesture and to reassure them that you are indeed clean? Lastly, in addition to beverages, can you give some examples to what type of snacks you would offer. This may sound silly, but just to have an idea of what`s customary or considered appropiate. Thank you, again. Take care.

Again EBS, thank you for your insight.
The reason I had asked about hygienic issues was from reading the thread concerning Alexandra of Aleeva and her apparent freshness. I understand now that this is an exception to the norm.
I`m still undecided but have narrowed my sights on the companions (Serina, Ophelie) and IN (Sophie, Zoe, Lea). Tare care.
SeminolePilot, thanks for starting this thread.

I agree with most of what is said here, but I'll add something about privacy if that is important to you.
Independents usually keep fairly detailed account books just like any business person. I absolutely guarantee you of this.
THough you have done a very good and thorough job in this thread, I'll even give you my congratualations. I'll have to disagree with you on this point and agree with traveller. Many agencies have my address and phone number on hand. How do I know, you may ask? Well I don't have to give my address and phone number. I may have been a good client but I doubt that they would remember off hand my personal info. Even when I moved I only had to give it once.Originally posted by E B Samaritano
This doesn't fit with MOST of my experiences in this business in Canada and certainly not in Montreal. I can ABSOLUTELY guarantee you that you have been watching far too much TV.

Looks like you've got some solid choices lined up for ocnsideration. I'd say you could just throw a dart at this point and walk away with a smile on your face. Good luck to you and we'll be looking forward to a trip report..LOL.

I am going to have to agree with my fellow traveler (LOL) here.
I know for a fact that one of our (yours & mine) favorite agencies in TO keeps pretty careful records of customers.
In fact a lady that we both know keeps a little black book of her encounters, if only to keep her boss honest.
That said, one agency and one lady may be the exception rather than the rule.

Let me say that I am in general with you on this one and did not intend my post in any way hostile.
I use hotels just as you do and am not as concenrned.
My reference to a black book concerned a TO lady who I had given my email address and cell number to. Stupid me. Her boss confiscated the book, and found my name and others no doubt. The lady in question was even dumb enough to have her password in this book next to her own email addy. Bye to her.
