Haha... EA, the devil of video games
Lol no but seriously, never played Fifa and i doubt i will ever, not much into sports game anyway, especially not soccer, but yeah sometimees its bothering me too a bit how much time it takes to load your damn game having to pass by a ton of submenus, but i guess its the price for having more completed games. I also hate when a game is super complicated on the controls, when you have to play it in one straigh line because if you don't, when you get back to it your loss in the amalgame of buttons combination.
For exemple, Gears of War, easy to pick, you advance, you shoot, everything run smooth and well. Then i put back a game like Bayonetta and damn im lost in the mountain of button comination and things i can do... so i end up just smashing the attack button and using the evade button when i can see my character (cause sometimes i swear i lost her in the pile of ennemies and flashy explosions happening)
More the time pass, i realize i ain't into gaming as i was, i still like shooters, cause there competitive, easy to pick, ONLINE type of games, but when i start a solo game, always take me some times to pick up the buttons and all and i rather just keep playing the same game once i mastered it, like Skyrim for exemple.
On another side tough i decided to play FINAL FIGHT DOUBLE IMPACT yesterday, and its old school arcade a la double dragon, and i tough it was well... too old school a bit to me. Characters didn't had much attack and it ended up being the same punch punch punch all game long and its quite long for a small arcade game. At least somebody joined my game so it was a bit more fun(even tough friendly fire is turned on by default.. sucks a bit)
I guess as times goes by im just being more and more picky on my games, and have more trouble apreciating smaller games as i could back in the days. See like the gameplay got to be complete, but easy to master, and the story very interesting, wich sadly is the problem in some games, either they got one or the other...
