What a game by the Habs against the very strong Jets! I think this was their best game of the season. The Drouin-Danault-Gallagher line has been clicking of late

Kenny Agostino was placed on waivers yesterday, could be a sign that Weise might soon be called up...

With Boston playing great hockey these days and having surpassed the habs in the standings it's starting to look more & more like the habs very likely will have to be satisfied with one of the two wildcard positions if they want to make the playoffs. But there are many teams behind then who also want to reach that level.

David Pastrnak is out for at least two weeks with thumb surgery but i have a feeling it won't prevent the habs from continuing to win.

The Leafs are also playing great hockey over the past few games. They beat Montreal last Saturday in a very exciting game and the following night had 56 shots against the Rangers. They had something like 22 shots on the powerplay in that game. Nazem Kadri had over 10 shots on goal alone in that game. But they hit a very hot young Russian goalie in that game and couldn't beat him more than once. And last night they destroyed Colorado in Denver.

So the Leafs are back to playing like they were for the first half of the season and are now currently 5th overall in the NHL.

Difficult loss tonight by the Habs against Tampa. They played ok against both Nashville and Tampa but 0pts to show for it. Florida tomorrow, they need the 2pts ça c'est sûr...

Once again it's the habs' inability to score goals which sinks the team. Many people still believe the big problem with this team is the defence. From my point of view this is no longer the case since Shea Weber's arrival in December which added stability to the entire team. Even Carey Price began playing better since Weber's arrival.

But Max Domi & Tomas Tatar were playing over their heads and have since reverted to their old selves. Drouin is way too inconsistent to be an effective player. Paul Byron's many absences throughout the season hasn't helped. And i still believe that it was a huge mistake to keep Kotkaniemi with the big club this early into his very young career. I'm not even sure he'll manage to get 10 goals this season. The organization should have been more patient & let him develop properly. I said the same thing about Victor Mete last season. Joel Armia has been a nice surprise but the team needs players which an regularly put the puck in the net.

I'm starting to worry that the habs may in fact end up missing the playoffs.

Don’t really watch hockey thst much, but it’s a Sunday after all so what the hell
Gotta say it’s a good one though.Back and forth action
And it’s not many times that you see your number one goalie replace your number two . But the Habs starting goalie in this particular game was pretty soft to be honest. Anyways let’s hope that they manage to salvage some points tonight after two straight defeats
