I was talking with some habs fans today at a hockey game & they all pretty much agreed with my assessment of the team. A team with one very good defenceman, a great goalie & no scoring punch. I did add that they had a very good coach and they agreed with me. And when the great goalie isn't playing or has a 'normal' game the team doesn't win.

What surprised me wasn't the fact they all agreed with me. What surprised me was the fact they weren't happy with the habs' surprising success this season and would have preferred they not make the playoffs in order to get a high draft pick at the next entry draft in June. They were all unanimous in the fact that they'd likely get eliminated in the first round should they manage to make the playoffs. So why bother making the playoffs, they asked??

I did agree with their point of view but did explain to them that a playoffs series also means a lot of extra revenue for the organization which means more money in the pockets of the people working at the games. It's also valuable playoffs experience for the younger players on the team who'll likely still be with the organization a few years from now. And to be honest....WHAT ARE THE PLAYOFFS IF THE HABS ARE NOT IN THEM???

As a true hockey fan i want the habs in the playoffs. The playoffs for me are more interesting to watch when teams like the habs and the Leafs are in them. For me the more Canadian teams in the playoffs the better!

yep...i would add...it would be fun also to watch JETS--FLAMES and even CANUCKS in playoffs....very good year for canadian teams.

As much as I hate the Leafs I have been saying for many years that Toronto deserves winning team and a Stanley cup. Toronto is in my opinion the best city in America for everything besides the hobby of course (which is still not bad at all).

Canadian teams brings more then half of the revenue of the NHL. The most lucrative TV deal...

Well....pas une victoire spectaculaire mais l"important ce sont les 2 pts déposés dans le compte avant de quitter pour les vacances....bien méritées....peuvent s'amuser et nous revenir en forme...sont toujours au coeur de l"action avec 61 pts....autre bonne performance de Price.

Exactement Gaby, two important pts for the Habs as they leapfrog Boston for the time being. Price has been playing at a high level, Habs need him to stay like this all year long...

Les ptits gars reprennent le collier today...on entre dans le crunch de la saison....les Bruins ont repris leurs 2 matchs en main et se retrouvent comme les Habs avec 61 points......ca devrait être excitant jusqu'à la fin.....les Devils s'amènent cet après-midi et les Oilers demain....2 équipes à notre portée et dont il faut profiter....
Niemi devant le filet today.....enjoy.

Ouin...Super Bowl oblige....moi non plus pas un fan des games en après-midi.....c'est comme sacré les matchs du Samedi soir.....anyway--pas le choix--- on va les suivre quand même....bons matchs.

Ouin...amère défaite en ot.....faudra pas en échapper trop comme celle là......avec 37 tirs on aurait dû gagner...manque d'opportunisme,,,,récoltent au moins 1 pt......et KK continue d'impressionner...joue même sur la 1ère vague du pplay....le meilleur des Habs cet après-midi...and please Drouin taburn could you wake up...
et svp enlever le de la pointe sur les pplays...il n'a pas de garnotte....c'est un passeur et quand il le veut bien une menace près des buts.

Mieux de se raplomber demain vs McDavid....sinon l'après-midi risque d'être long...et on va avoir hâte aux ailes de poulet....lolll

Demain ca va etre plus tuff mais bon on s'ais jamais.

Mes ailes de poulet vont etre bonne en tabarn!! Je pense les cuires doucement pendant la journees a la mijoteuse et les finir sur le BBQ... Si il peut arreter de neiger cibolac!!

Oufffff...les ailes et ribs vont mieux passer....lollll et encore gros merci à KK pour le but égalisateur...et enfin Drouin a fait un McDavid de lui-même avec une superbe montée au filet avec le but gagnant.:yo:..électrisant.....Price a encore fait le boulot......grosse grosse victoire....bravo les boys.

Espérons que la blessure de Byron ne soit pas sérieuse...les Habs ont besoin de lui.....de sa rapidité et de som implication dans la game.

Difficult but important win for the Habs yes. KK and Domi have been difference makers so far this season for Julien's team

Les DUCKS s'amènent ce soir,,,est-ce que le party va continuer....ils ont été défaits 9-3 Samedi par les Jets et 6-1 hier par les Leafs...avec un goaler qui est devenu une passoire....faut que le party continue.....enjoy.

Belle victoire de 4-1....c'est le fun d'en avoir une facile à l'occasion et de ne pas nous laisser cruellement languir....lol ...Gallagher a encore une fois montré son utilité avec 2 buts et autre bonne soirée pour Price.....7ème victoire au cours des 9 dernières games:yo:...et KK continue de nous impressionner.

The Habs are 9th in the league on 31 team. Who would have predicted that! Yes they are still wildcard for the series but it would not be the case if they were playing in the much weaker western division.

I also say they will get 4 points on 8 for these next 4 games. Ideally Boston will keep playing average as they do now so the do not distance the Habs
