I didn't say that the Canadiens had nobody worth keeping, only that there was nobody who play on the first line of a winning team in the NHL (To be precise, I would have added "now"). Caulfield, according to the Canadiens' management, isn't good enough to play on the fourth line of his own team (now). He was sent down to the minors.

However, I admit that I slightly exaggerated. Suzuki might, for example, be barely good enough to play on the first line of Tampa (since Kucherov is out).
Yes but I think that also Toffoli or Anderson could be on the first line of somw other team . I did undestand what U wrote :)

Toffoli maybe, Anderson no based on last season's production. Toffoli had 44 points in 52 games while Anderson had 24 points in 52 games. Sorry but 24 points in 52 games, which is less than .50 points per game, is not first line production for anyone. You have to stop being a fanboy and look at the stats.

lol fan boy :)
You also have to ask your self another question , The other player on the other first line play with who on the first line on there team and who is there center ?

Sincerly I don't remember who was Anderson Habs center last year. Was it Zukes :)

If Anderson play with a real good first line center I am pretty sure that he would do a great job . It's my humble opinion :)

I agreed with you and said I could find just 3 (Suzuki, Drouin, Caulfield). Is there an agreement on my 3 and let's blow up the rest of the team?
lol EagerBeaver
[...]

Caulfield never play a complete season
And please remind me where is he right now ...

I will do like you did with Anderson stats last year for Drouin ... 2 goal and 21 assist in 44 game ... Only 2 goal probably put a lot pression on him ... I got it you feel bad for what happend to him ... but common Drouin on the first line of other Nhl team it's a science fiction movie ...

Bergevin probably try to trade him but he realize he would get nothing for him ...

Could only agree on Suzuki
Caulfield need to prove him self
Remember Ryan Poehling 4 goals game
Tell me where is now ... He is playing with is teammate Caulfield

Nice try fan boy :)

The question I was responding to was bobbyc's question which was which players do you keep if you blow up the team and build for the future, NOT "who is a 1st line center?" I stand by the 3 I picked. Caulfield is what, 20 years old? You keep guys based on what they will be in the future, not what they are now. When you blow up a team it is all about building for the future not who is a first line player. It would be pure insanity to NOT keep those 3 I mentioned if it becomes a fire sale. Drouin did have a poor season last year but recall he took leave of absence so I am looking at his stats for this year, not last year. I stand by my 3 players I would keep in fire sale scenario mentioned by boobyc

Nah not for Drouin he never deliver what people expect from him ...

What is Drouin real value in the market?
I am pretty sure that Canadian tire paper money have more value then Drouin ... :)

now was that so hard, everybody played with hearth, its the only way when you lack talent, and yesterday was a good effort from everyone on the team.
now i see a lot of talk about the 5 or 6 players we should keep, i agree with what Eager Beaver said so here are mine Suzuki, Caulfield, Drouin, Anderson, Evans and Romanov' saying that i don't expect to win now but in 4 to 5 years, yes Toffolli had a great year last year and he has a decent contract just over 4m for a couple of years so imagine what a contender will give for him at the trading deadline, you could probably get their best prospect and a draft pic that's how we got Suzuki, has much has i love Gallagher you can surely get the same for him, every team needs depth at defense you can get good prospects for Petry,Chariot,or Edmundson, i don't think we could get anything for Weber anymore and i don,t know if any team would be interested in Price but i would trade him for anything decent and for the rest you can get draft pics for them, then you will have a young team with a couple of good prospects and you should have a lot of money so in a couple of years from now hopefully all the prospects you got from trade and draft pics you should have a few to add on to what you have and money to bye what you need. Now don;t give me this shit about how bad we draft pic and how bad we bring up prospects maybe its time to get rid of our scouting team also, it's never too late to do good the past is the past you can't change anything let's look at the future.
I'm not a general manager it's just my view on this and i know people are going to argue who i want to keep, Suzuki is a no brainer, Caulfield is a young prospect i'm hoping for the future, Drouin is not my favorite player but he is the only one who can carry the puck and make a decent pass, someone as to make a pass for you to score, Anderson well every team needs a big strong fast player, power forward, Romanov again young with good flashes of talent hoping for the future, and Evans a good young fourth line center man.
I'm not saying any of these players would be on a first line of any other team, but you have to start with what you think can still help in 3 years from now and for me all the rest will be have bins by then.
