Wouldn’t be shocked if Laine is done for the year.

I’d estimate his chances of playing hockey this season to be about 20%. And 50/50 that he’ll ever play a regular season game with the habs even if the expected knee surgery occurs. He’s a fragile player mentally & i’m not sure he has the motivation to return to NHL hockey if he does have to undergo major knee reconstruction & the long rehabilitation process which follows.

On the bright side if there is one the habs are not expected to be in the playoffs anyway so his loss won’t hurt as much like if they’d be a contending team. But it’s extremely unfortunate for the fan base. I feel the fans would have fell in love with him like they fell for Kovalev. However maybe by miracle his injury wasn’t as severe as it looked & he could be back this season. But i wouldn’t put money on this happening.

Let’s hope for the best.

Au moins SLAF est revenu....mais pas fort vs l'équipe C des LEAFS.....ont bien travaillé leur défensive mais là devront en priorité travailler leur offensive /attaque.....0 en 20 en supériorité numérique.....du travail à faire...... vivement le début de la saison....et le retour de LAINE.

I agree that Slaf returning was good news. I also agree that it was team C of the Leafs which consisted of a few bottom 6 regulars & mostly AHL & junior hockey players. I liked their big goalie’s performance. He’ll be the Marlie’s #2 goalie behind Matt Murray unless Murray doesn’t clear waivers. Nick Robertson also showed he belongs in the NHL with that big wrist shot of his. I liked Connor Timmins’ game. One of these two players is likely to be dealt away if they chose to keep Max Pacioretty. Personally i wouldn’t sign Pacioretty but his agent Allan Walsh said it’s nearly a done deal that he’ll play in Toronto next season.

But the habs’ biggest problem resurfaced: the ineffective powerplay. It seemed they were on the pp all night long yet struggled to produce good scoring chances. If they had a top 15 powerplay they could surprise a lot of people & actually contend for a playoff spot. We’ll see.

LAINE....out 2-3 months with knee sprain.... c'est la moitié d'une bonne nouvelle...lol....mais quand même une absence qui complique les choses....on lui souhaite bonne chance ....et l'on va se souhaiter un bon début de saison avant que nos compétiteurs prennent

He was actually find around $3000, not suspended. You and a few other fans could pool money to pay that fine, IMHO.

I’m sure he will. And Martin St-Louis also hopes he does get suspended. The habs coach isn’t a huge fan of his & his knack of taking stupid penalties at always the wrong time which ALWAYS end up hurting the team. It wouldn’t totally surprise me if he ends up getting traded this season.

By the way i’ve never been much of a fan of preseason games however the two last games were very exciting to watch!

If the referees did their job on the late hit at the head on Dach, the Xhekaj attack on Stutzle wouldn't have happenned.

Son nom c’est Arber et de la façon qu’on se fait brasser présentement c’est beaucoup plus important qu’il rappelle aux joueurs adverses qu’il y a un prix à payer pour prendre trop de liberté sur la glace, le reste importe peu.

So like me you don’t like preseason… ok make sense but then you found the last game ‘’exciting’’… it’s literally been the worst game ever unless seeing multiple Habs players getting long term injuries excites you.
You should start a Maple Leafs fan thread, your excitement would make more sense.

You have it somewhat wrong. I’m also a Habs fan. Have been for the past two seasons. I’m also a Sens fan & still a Leafs fan. Let’s just say that i’m married to the Leafs & my two mistresses are the Sens & the Habs. Lol

I plan on seeing about 10 Leafs games this season & maybe 4 Sens & 4 Habs games. Hopefully i can attend games where they’ll face one another so that i can model my new half Leafs/half Sens or half Leafs/half Habs jerseys that i got custom made! LoL

Can’t wait for Saturday’s game between my two mistresses! Lol.

J’aime bien Strubble. Mais on me dit qu’il n’y a pas de place pour lui et Xhkaj dans le meme alignement a cause qu’ils tirent les deux de la droite. On parle peut etre de faire jouer Xhekaj sur le 4e trio.

These guys are all multi millionaires so i don’t see the point of paying their tiny fines, which is pocket change for them.
