Grand Prix Weekend

Hello Gents,

I've booked a trip to Montreal, June 5-9, specifically to enjoy the great adult entertainment your city has offer (escorts & strip clubs). But I discovered yesterday that it is also Grand Prix week. Now I'm concerned that the agencies and the strip clubs will be crazy busy and that it might be better to re-book at a different time. On the the hand, the energy of grand prix week would be a lot of fun and the selection of girls at the agencies and clubs could be even better? I have complete flexibility in my schedule and may be able to use the situation to my advantage!? Curious, do prices change during the week?

I'd appreciate any feedback or advice you might have about this not so terrible dilemma.

Hey, if you got a room at what you think is a reasonable rate, then good for you. All you usually need to recognize Gran Prix weekend is a rate calendar--the higher prices tend to stick out. At the minimum, I imagine there will be additional traffic delays and whatnot for all types of appointments. Other than that I wouldn't know because I do avoid those busy days. The big city on a normal schedule is way more than enough for me!

The city will be busy that weekend. There will not be many deals or specials to be had, but you can still have a good time. Lots of girls work that weekend. There are even sp from other city that come in . Lots of parties going on. Enjoy!

I make my annual trip to Montreal for F1 each year, so I can't comment to much on "normal weekends". That said, the F1 weekend there is fantastic - the whole city is a party. I've not had troubles with the availability of entertainment of any kind while there, but that may be partly since I make it a policy to be flexible and look at a range of options. Overall I think the city handles the crowds very well, including at the race. I get around by Metro so traffic is a non-issue. The only downside I can see is the price of accommodations, as others have mentioned. Some of the downtown hotels are astronomical for F1 weekend. But, if you do your homework and shop around you can probably find a decent place at only a slightly indecent rate.

One other thought - if you're not planning to attend the F1 qualifying or race on Sat/Sun those mid-day hours could be slow for agencies/clubs that are open during that time.

I booked La Tour Belvedere quite a while ago for $572 / 4 nights which I think is a very good price. I suppose traffic delays may be an issue for outcalls (my preference) but surely this is manageable? I won't be attending any F1 events during the day and have complete flexibility as far as my schedule is concerned which should create some opportunities as dqd1605 suggested. I would think there would be more and higher quality grills at the SC's.

Any idea how far in advance the agencies typically allow you to pre-book? I would definitely consider pre-booking a few girls before I arrive. It sounds like GG (and several others) has excellent customer service and might be willing to work with me. Are there any other agencies you would recommend for reliable pre-booking?

On the pre-booking, my experience is that it's a fairly short window - really a day ahead at best. There are a few agencies that publish schedules further out but my experience has been that attempts to book more than a day or so ahead don't work out. Either the agency won't take the booking, or in the rare cases they do something almost always changes or goes wrong. I think that's just the nature of the business, for a few reasons. I don't have experience with independents in Montreal so they may be a bit different - not sure.

I've found the closest plan to a "sure thing" is to shop around on MERB and have a list of options in mind. Then, the day before or on the day you want to see someone you book based on who is available and when. If you watch the advertising sections here you'll get an idea of the timing that each agency has for posting their schedule. So, you will have a good idea of when to check for a particular one. I've been to only one GP (in 2006) and i've since began to avoid that weekend altogether.

The traffic is crazy, the restaurants and bars are always packed, the heart of downtown Mtl is closed down to traffic (which is why there are so many traffic jams) and most of all, the hotels are grossly overpriced....you usually wind up paying at least 3 times the regular rate from Thursday to Sunday.

If i could get a hotel room right downtown at a decent price, it probably would be more enjoyable. But once again, the rates are usually sky-high. I wound up spending 3 days at the Chabli on St-Jacques the year i went, and i must admit i didn't see one single girl since many agencies i'd use regularly were fully booked or the waiting times too long. However, i am aware that some people have had better luck than i did.

On that Friday or Saturday, i felt like going to Crescent street & attend some of the activities. However, it rained that afternoon, so it kinda ruined everything.

If you plan on attending the GP, get ready to possibly face the biggest crowd jams you've ever experienced. The subway cars are jammed pack and the worst part is once the race is over. It took me two hours in 95 degrees weather to get from Ile Notre-Dame to my hotel on that Sunday (i stayed at Hotel Maritime on that Sunday night).

At the time, even the top high-end sps would escape Mtl that weekend because of all the craziness that comes with GP weekend. Jean Toth, who used to run the Ferrari team, once told the media that the problem with the Canadian GP was that Montreal was simply too small to hold such an event.

Word of advice: If you do attend the GP on that Sunday, don't drink too many beers during the race. The lineups for the outdoor bathrooms are absolutely crazy! I told myself that if i ever returned, i'd get a foley catheter inserted into my penis prior to race-day in order not having to get in that crazy lineup & thus being able to enjoy the race while drinking my beer.

Myths regarding the supply and demand of sexual services during Grand Prix week

There was an interesting article in the paper concerning the supply and demand of sexual services during Grand Prix week in Montreal. The article (in French) is reproduced here (https://merb.cc/vbulletin/showthrea...i-opinions-etc&p=881037&viewfull=1#post881037).

Basically, the article states that the Grand Prix attracts a lot of girls offering their services and, as a result, during Grand Prix week the supply (of sexwork services) exceeds demand. Consequently, it is a quiet week for a lot of escorts, especially independents who can't compete with agencies, who have the resources to advertise. On the other hand, Grand Prix week is very profitable for high class who charge $500 and who solicit their clients in the more expensive hotels.

From a client point of view, Grand Prix week would therefore seem to be a good time to book an indy, contrary to popular belief.
