Probably another of these isis supporter freak that made his move due to that other guy in st-jean... this is really getting out of hand.
I watched the video, and it sounds like the shootout at OK Corral. How can someone be allowed to bring guns into the parliament building and then be allowed to escape? The reports I read is that the gunman is on the loose and escaped that posse.
Until now one shooter dead , one soldier injured. More than one shooter this morning. Ottawa in lock down !

We are just not used to wars going both ways...we think we can send our troops to some failed state shothole but for some reason they can't send theirs here.
I liked way more when Canada used to be known for its humanitarian role in the world.
It always bothered me that when there is a shooting they publicize the shooter and his motives for the shooting. Especially in the states they do this making these guys post mortem celebrities and basically incentivising the next crazy person to do the same because if the act is bad enough they will become famous.
We need to apply the same counter measure as they do for streaking on televised games where the camera pans away so the guy doesn't get on television and no one knows his name and it takes away motive to do the same for anyone else with fame as a reason at least. But especially for terrorism its only an effective tool if people know about it, if the media didn't publicize terrorist motivations for acts wouldn't that strip terrorists of a lot of their power?
I guess it comes down to a choice of whats better for the public, knowing the full truth or omitting certain points that only lend support to the criminals intentions, but I think we all already know the news is already censored and heavily edited by those in power. Shout out to PKP lol

I was always against war, i tough canada needed to help and not participate in the "fuel war" of the states and such.
But since the rise of those bastards in syria, screw that, we need to erradicate them to the last one, i think its not enough they send planes... i would send the whole damn thing, tanks, ospreys, AC-130 with heavily armored troops and just crush them til there is none left... Those people are crazy, with no moral, and a threat to the world.
I grew up in Eastern Europe, a place riddled by recent bloody conflicts (Serbia, Bosnia, Georgia and now Ukraine) and what people know there is that as soon as a bomb drops there will be an immediate and direct response from the other side...
North Americans don't think like that, we think we can have a war far far away that we only see on the news if we choose to turn on the Tv and we can carry on with our lives unaffected...we've been lucky to be cushioned from the direct consequences of war.
That's why we need competent and responsible people when we decide to intervene...which I have my doubts about the current government.

Do we know who "them" is, or what their motive was? All we know is that a Canadian solder is dead. I have not read anything about who did this and what their agenda was.
