Well congratulations madame Isabelle Gaston, your responsibilities (children) are gone, you ruined the life of a doctor, he snapped killed the kids, now you can get the house , the car now you and your personal trainer boyfriend can sail off in the sunset............. that was your plan all along, and to boot the retarded half of society disregards and even supports your irresponsible behaviour.

F'ing ridiculous.

Wait, so ocean based on ur "thinking" u would also believe a woman who wears a hot/provocative outfit deserves to be raped!? Woman does something, therefore the Man does something terrible but it's the Woman's fault.

Fail!

Ocean, I really don't understand your point of view. The guy did kill the kids. No matter what the woman did to him, he had no right to kill these innocent kids. He lost it? Fine, that's what the jury decided but, he still did it. He now only have himself to blame about the way he reacted and the consequences he will have to face. He ruined his career and reputation, nobody else did.

Now, do you mean we can't say no to anybody because, if we do and they go nuts, it will be our fault? That's insane and what you're saying is equivalent.

99.999% of people who go trough a breakup don't react the way he did and, some of these breakups are far more messy than his. What his wife did to cause the breakup might have been bad but his reaction doesn't even measure up on the same scale, why would his wife take any blame for HIS reaction? We don't even know why his wife did what she did! Turcotte might have his share of blame in the relation's failure.

I don't see how his former wife could be accused of anything regarding the murder of these kids. I'm not even talking legally, I'm thinking only morally. If anybody who get dropped would react that way and have the blame put on the other partner, there would be a lot of "justified" murders around us.

Mods are supposed to stay neutral but, on this, I just can't. Sorry.

I have to remind everybody: your opinions are as valued as everybody else's BUT, you better stay respectful. You can attack ideas and opinions, in a civilized way BUT, if I see any personal attacks, any arrow fired against a person instead of an idea, there will be consequences. I will not censor this thread because of opinions, even if I made my own clear, even if these opinions are different than my own but, I won't allow irrespectful posts.

Thanks

Hi mod11, thank you for chiming in, as I said in my first words in my first post,
may have heard about the Guy Turcotte trial. While I do not condone what teh man has done killing innocents, I am pretty mad that the media has not at all focused in on the mother's responsibility in all of this.
I am not denying that he was crazy to kill innocents as it was the first words out of my mouth. My heated opinion was based around the fact that teh mother had no concern that the husband loved her, gave everything for her. he sacrificed years of his life for the family, ...........and did something dispicable. The fact that I am pissed off STEMS DIRECTLY FROM THE FACT THAT NO ONE HAS EVER ASKED WHERE WAS MADAME'S RESPONSIBILITY NOT TO BRING THE PERSONAL TRAINER INTO HER BED....WITH 2 YOUNG KIDS. Did she not have ANY responsibility in this sordid affair?

The mother's responsibility was to hide the fact she was screwing someone else from her crazy husband. She failed!

Divorce, some broken furniture, smashed plates/cups... but to off ur own children. Sick man - how ironic he was a Doctor!

Respectfully, I don't think moderators should have an opinion. If you wish to discuss this, go to a local bar, find someone and talk about it. Or, get a dog. Here, your job is to moderate. Not to state your opinions.

Mods can take a side on public issues that r discussed everywhere else. There's zero conflict of interest for this type of Lounge discussion.

Oh yes there is a conflict. Opinions are expressed and people who are expressing them can chose to express them any way they want. After reviewing a lot of posts over the past two-three days it seems to me that the moderators aren't interested in the context of the discussion but the style. In other words, form instead of function. That is not partial at all and may I add somewhat shallow. It transcends to other areas outside of what you call the Lounge.

Now about the Turcotte case. It is really unfortunate (my opinion that will be described in my own words that I chose to use) that this took place. But, if you drive a person, a man, a woman to despare with your denial and arrogance, don't expect them to stand still and take it up the ass. They'll either fight you to death or die from cancer. There ya go. I too have an opinion and last time I checked, the "take it up the ass" is not forbidden by the rules (wink wink! lots of girls do "greek", me too :) ).

PS,. to the moderator, I have turned off private messages to avoid your nightmare scenario of me soliciting blah blah blah. Sweetheart, if you take a look at my body you''ll see why I don't need to solicit! I am a money machine babe.

Back to the topic, pleeeeease!

A couple more observations I want to make. It is really encouraging that in our society, our civilization, our country (*cough*cough* CANADA), 7 women and 4 men realized what most of us also realized. That the meaning of justice, the real meaning of justice starts at home, at a happy home. Where both parents are THERE, not for each other, but for the kids. I am not a single mother, as most SPs are. But, when I will have kids, I won't drive my entire family nuts and make them do bad things. I will preach love and happiness.

I'm missing something here. The couple separated. She found someone else to fuck instead of joining a convent. What did she do wrong?

Even if she cheated before their separation:
Many of us have ended committed relationships or cheated while in one. We should then understand our significant other wanting revenge. Even so, is the only resolution of rage violence against bystanders (here the children) or cancer?

Yep, you are missing something. It starts with the letter "F". Second letter "A". Third "M". Fourth "I". Fifth "L"... its a concept that if it ever goes away we are all going to go back to the caves, or just have a big orgy (take your pick :p)

Ok, let's say he was a kind, gentle, patient, loving father without any indication of being a control freak and never exhibited any of the uncontrolled rage of the mass murderer he later became. Let's also suppose that the family broke up because she couldn't keep her panties on in the presence of her trainer and she dumped a model husband and model citizen. He kills her and it's a crime of passion which, while we don't condone, we understand as it's happened more than a few times in the million years that our ancestors have walked erect and perhaps even before.

Any normal father would take it up the ass (even one who didn't enjoy his last rectal exam) and/or get cancer before harming his kids.

In my opinion, Guy Turcotte got possibly the worse sentence he could have received, which is that he'll now have to spend the rest of his life a free man while at the same time having to deal with the fact he brutally murdered his two young children. That's quite a heavy burden to deal with. My guess is that if he would have got prison, it would have served as a form of punishment for what he did. But now, he's free while his children are dead?

I don't believe Turcotte is strong enough to go through life knowing this & having to deal with the guilt of what he did. I would not be surprised to wake up one day & find out that he had committed suicide.
