An inspiration to many, the first reviews that I enjoyed were written by DOC. We can say he got me into the writing of reviews as a more personal emotional story!!!
Thanks DOC
Being a sports fan. I'll make you a promiss of a gift (you will have to wait on my return in 4 months), which Montreal Canadiens player is your favorite (active or Legend, my suggestion is Jean Beliveau last time I saw him he was on his last legs). I will get you an autographed memorabilia. It will be easy, A close friend of mine played with them in the 1986 Stanley Cup win..
Damn! I honestly don't know what to say. Do you remember which one of my reviews inspired you the most?
As for my favorite Habs player, it has to be the Flower, le Demond Blond. But yes indeed, Jean Beliveau is right up there also. Truly a classy individual....a true gentleman. And you're right about him being on his last legs, sorry to say. Beliveau happens to be my late grandfather's favorite player (along with #10) also. And since i already have some of #10's memrobilia & still bump into him once in a while, i guess my choice would have to be Le Gros Bill. Anyways, it's appreciated of course.
Did you know that Beliveau came a whisker of signing with the Leafs instead of with the Habs? This would have been great for the Leafs. But anyways, i wasn't born yet when this happened. Or was i? I still remember him scoring his 500th goal against Gilles Gilbert of the North Stars.
Anyways, thank you all for the b-day greetings. The older i get, the more depressing i get on my b-day. However, it's totally different when i come to Mtl on this special day. It actually makes me looking forward to my b-day. There's nothing like spending a b-day with good friends, good food, good fun, good women.......nothing like it!
Last year at this time, i had just been told by a cardiologist that i had likely suffered an infarct. It really made me think about my life & if i got through this, i swore i'd look at life differently. Well, i have. And later, after further testing, i discovered that my initial diagnosis had likely been an incorrect one. However, it had been a sign that i needed to make changes in my eating habits and lifestyle a.s.a.p. And yes indeed, i've been feeling much better since, knock-on-wood.
Enjoy life, people. It can end anytime, no matter how old you are. Death doesn't discriminate.
You all take care & thanks again....
