RavenOnyx, the funny thing is sending a deposit doesn't resolve issues on the SP's end either. My experience with sending a deposit was the SP canceling hours before our meeting time. This was after getting a confirmation from her a few days earlier. Turns out wasting people's time isn't relegated to just clients. But as always, every experience in life is a learning one.

Of course it does not revolve around sp only.
But is it still valid to say that your experience probably happened once or twice, while what, I and probably many other sp, have experienced is a daily issue. Is it impacting both SP and clients, yes. But the sheer volume is not comparable. Bad clients have done enough damage in a short period of time to impact good clients. It's too bad clients aren't reviewed so that y'all can handle your beef with the rotten apples killing the fun for everyone.

At the end of the day, I find it fair for sp to provide alternatives also like references, which a lot of sp do. And boards like here help with the research clients ought to be doing to spend their cash wisely.

I agree with everything Raven says, and I'd like to add clients lose time and merely a small portion of their play money. We lose income that might be for bills, so it's not really comparable in that sense either.

Wow, this is not not something I expected, so we merely lose time and play money which while being somewhat true is definitely not the attitude to have and this is exactly why we are reluctant to do deposits, because in some peoples minds it is really not a big deal if we lose out and get screwed.
keeping your word and being honest should not have levels and is not justifiable with financial status.

The other thing that I disagree with is that it is for safety, that is total BS just because somebody gives you a deposit that doesn’t mean he can be any less of a scumbag.
I have done deposits with two ladies one as I have mentioned in a previous post, I lost a full payment deposit the other it went smoothly without any issues, but in the future given a choice between one requiring a deposit and the other a reference I will definitely go with the reference.

I never said it was okay. What I am said is that acting like losing $50 of play money, is somehow comparable to someone losing their income that they may need for bills, is illogical, they are just not equivalent neither in magnitude or impact.

But for the record, I almost always keep my appointments, and when I have not been able to (I think maybe 2 or 3 times in my career for local calls, and 1 tour to Winnipeg that had 2 deposits only) I've always offered the deposit back if they didn't want to reschedule, and if they wanted to reschedule and my cancelation was short notice (only happened once because I cut myself washing dishes) I also offered extra time or a discount, their choice on which they preferred, since they had already began the commute to me. It is up to you to do your due diligence, the chances that a reputable provider will scam you are very slim, I'm not ruining my brand that costs me thousands of dollars over your $50-100.

This is not a justification for not keeping your word or screwing someone out of their money and is totally the wrong mind set to have.
Everybody works hard for the money they earn it does not matter what they have to spend it on.
If it happens to be for bills or food well that is what you chose to spend it on and that is the profession you chose to earn it with and please stop with the feel sorry and shaming thing because I see the same women posting shots of tropical vacations and photos on yachts etc. who then seem to think it is no big deal not to live up to things because it is “merely“ play money, but cry foul if the same thing happens to them.
it is wrong no matter who doesn’t keep their word there is no valid justification.

BTW I did not accuse you of not living up to everything you promise, the only problem I have is that for you it is “merely play money”.
Some people work just as hard to earn “merely play money”.

I see you have reading comprehension issues and have chosen to continuously mischaracterize my words. That's on you. Have a good day!

No I don’t have reading issues. If someone disagrees with you they obviously can’t be correct and the fault must be with them.
To disagree you'd have to be able to actually correctly interpret what I said, and you have not.

Which I have, earning “ merely play money” your words not mine is not as easy as you may think for everyone.
There is no justification for being scammed whether the amount is $50-$100 or $5000. this was my point perhaps you should comprehend what is being written also.

And yet you continue to think I justified someone scamming anyone, this is where your reading comprehension comes in, I never justified it, you just did not understand what I said, and thus you can't disagree me because you didn't even understand what I said to begin with.

That is because you don’t really understand what you have said.
You did not justify scamming I never said you did and I never implied that you are anything but honest with your clients which your many reviews totally support.
What you did do is totally down play the importance of being scammed out of $50-$100 as “merely play money “and how can it be compared to paying bills.
What makes you think that it is so easy to earn “play money” and why is it less important to be scammed out of it.
Why do you take money being spent on the very thing that you earn your living with so lightly. You should be the one most against this type of behaviour on both sides.

Looks like she is entitled. I hope not all escorts are entitled like her. More reason to never send a deposit.

You definitely did imply it by continuing to say there is no justification for scamming after I said it was not okay to scam someone.

There is a clear difference between losing income and losing spending money. I never said the deposit money was easily earned, I just said your concern is not as serious as our concern, we are concerned with taking appointments that we had to turn down other clients for and none of them showing up, and then us not making money. If you do your due diligence you will not be scammed, but we have no assurance clients will show up. Providers even have regulars who no show, I know I did! He no showed twice at the beginning of the pandemic which I was only taking an appointment a week and refused to pay a cancelation fee. Ya'll no showing has a disproportionate impact us than it does on you, this is not to say it is okay when it happens to you, it is just to say that it is not the same and not a reason to deny reputable providers deposits.

Nope, I never implied that you are okay with scamming you made that quite clear and I do not have comprehension Issues I assure you.
I will even agree with you that no shows, time wasters, etc.. are a pain and this happens to you way more than to us simply because the volume of clients you deal with far out number the SP we could see.
My whole problem was you down playing the money we lose as “merely play money”. That was income at one point for us also and we worked just as hard for it as you do.
Unfortunately bad apples on both sides ruin it for all of us.

btw I have only cancelled twice, once for a medical issue with someone I take care of the day before my appointment, it was with my ATF.
I not only paid her the full amount but even the gift I usually bring her. She said I that I shouldn’t have because she knows I would rebook it which I did but to me it was the right thing to do.
The other occasion was with another SP I know well just when this Omicron hit, my appointment was in two weeks when I cancelled, I sent her $100 Amazon gift card apologized and promised to rebook when things got better which I am about to do.

You did imply it, that is what continuously bringing it up as if we do not agree it on does, it implies I do not agree or why keep bringing it up?

You losing your disposable income just isn't the same as clients making us lose income that they do not know if we need for bills or not, and I stand by that.

Because of a no-show and no deposit, a provider might not be able to pay her electricity bill due in two days.

If you, as a client, can't pay your electricity bill because you lost a 50$ deposit you sent to an escort, you should not even THINK about spending a cent on an escort at all.

Paola answer was only about the impact a deposit, or no deposits, might have on a provider, which has nothing to do with the point Fradi is making, the non-OKAYNESS of losing money.
It is nice to see you sticking up for your friend, I would probably do the same.
You are missing the point just like she did.
First, what I should and should not be spending on should not concern you, I assure you I know what I am doing with my finances.
I will repeat what concerned me and still does is the use of “merely play money” this merely play money we work just as hard to earn as you do.
There was no need to down play the fact that being scammed out of $50-100 is not such a big deal.

Now if a provider cannot pay her electric bill because of one no show, perhaps that provider made the wrong business choice and should be looking for a different job or needs a more knowledgeable provider to guide her so that she can be one of the ones going on exotic vacations, eating at the best restaurants, buying Gucci bags and posting this non stop on her twitter.
