Hobby plans changing with lowering exchange rate?

Eager,

I am very much aware of the fact that it is extremely difficult to stay away and not get pulled back into it. In fact, I stayed away from the hobby in the past for a year and a half and came back to it with a vengeance.

My approach right now is to reduce my trips up to MTL by about 80%--perhaps no more than twice a year.


Further, while where I live may not be known for great savings when it comes to hobbying, with luck one can find quite a deal. In fact, perhaps the deal could be even better since I would not have to worry about spending a very long time at the airport and on the plane, the hotel costs, the car rental ( a must for me), the exorbitant hotel parking fee and tips for the valet guys, the high sales tax (15%), eating more fancy meals since I am away from home, etc.

And here I went moving to the states to earn more and spend heavily on my holdiays!

I'm afraid the market will have no choice but to adapt. I also think if the US dollar continues to fall (remeber its not the canadian dollar rising, it's the us dollar falling all over the world) we will see for the first time since the 70s an exchange rate that flows the other way.
