Those numbers indicate total registered members I assume, and includes those who are inactive or died. MERB was born in 2003 and I was registered from the beginning which I think was May 2003 but due to a bug/glitch in software at the time, Fred had to cancel my original EB account and delete around 1,000 posts and then start a new account in the same name. So I may count as 2. But I have been here from the beginning and I can recall several members (including all of the significant early posters), either moved away like Bob Crane, became inactive, in some cases retired and in a few cases passed away, like Lewlo, may he rest in peace.

Tony accounts for 5,000 or more members.

I would say active members are half of the total. Maybe less.

You were JacknJill???? Wow that is a blast from the past. I never knew. Some other revered early posters of MERB were: Bob Crane and El Buen Samaritano, known as EBS. ManAboutTown was another highly prolific poster. None of these posters have been active in many, many years.

Honestly I can`t help but think that guys who change their handles have something to hide.
I almost got banned on Big Doggy when just for fun I used the handle sugardaty a couple of times.

Beav I joined Merb in May 2003 and before that I was an active member on Terb.

that or their reputation for being major shit disturbers catch up with them and in their head they need a `fresh start`......... only to go on to needing a third handle change, then a 4th, 5th and so on

But like the saying goes, once a weasel always a weasel.

I changed once after getting mostly undeserved shit from mod 6. I decided to quit and erase my posts. Ziggy, who decided to quit at the same moment was the one calling me a shit disturber. I was indeed disturbing his shit. I Coming back I had to change it. Nothing to hide there. It took me a year or so to notice the resemblance between doucelangue and J&J. Maybe reading french helped.

I'd say out of 75000:

2/3 have stopped reading merb

Of the remaining, 4/5 have never written one line and of those most come here to see if there exists a review for the girl they would like to meet.

Of those remaining 2/3 have less than 5 posts

Depending on their privileges, the mod cans approximate these numbers. But then, that's about membership. Half of the readers do not connect. It's hard to say the proportion who are members among them. When I just check a few comments in the lounge, I do not bother to connect.

I do not remember you on TERB but in 2002 I can remember you on TBD (The Big Doggie). There was a very small cadre of hobbyists on TBD-Montreal and from my memory they were you, Doc Holliday, Special K, trailrunner66, Cool Amadeus, and a few others. Canbest was also around at that time, but I don't think I ever registered on it.

Wow, what a blast from the past. Thank you EB.

I was on BigDoggie, and Canbest. I remember those early days, joined MERB in 2005. Didn't hobby alot but posted when I did. I was and am very indebted to many great posters, Bob Crane, El Buen Samaritano, Doc, Cool Amadeus so many to remember ( and JacknJill).

Cheers!
