Where i live the parking, or should i say the courtyard come with the house... But seem like its different in the big cities. Anyway to be honest i could not live in montreal or any other big cities where all house are stuck and look the same, and some dosen't even have parking, got to park in the street... But this is personal taste.

$300,000 parking space, we can imagine there's a small closet somewhere where the guy lives nearby. That must be what, a few millions? He must have the money to afford this AND any HDL he wants, even inviting them to party in groups.

I would not pay anything for parking. Which is the reason I live in downtown where I can go everywhere with the metro . Of course for those far out places where you have to take a bus or there is no public transportation I will drive but these places almost always have free parking spaces.
