Some of the Astra-Zeneca vaccines will come from India, but the most will come from the US. A real world study of over a million people in Scotland found the the chance of hospitalization was 85% lower after one shot of the Pfizer vaccine and 94% lower after one shot of the Astra-Zeneca.

2fast, the numbers are overly exagerated. I mean a person of 92 years old dying of covid19... well... still count in the stats on paper but we do know in practice that person had a great life and probably lived longer than ill live...

Last i checked the stats in Quebec in January there was 3 deaths of peoples under 50 per 100 000. Its negligeable.

The worst part is im reading more and more that the vaccine does not refrain catching it but rather dismish the symptoms/complications. So why should i take it for others exactly? If i catch covid and die from it by an extreme lack of luck, then so be it. You probably heard me say tons of times how i love life, so i really do not want to die. But im not participating in this mediatic circus thats been covid19. I never seen an idiocy blown out of proportion that much in my life.

Yes its a bad virus, yeah it CAN kill, but destroying the economy, putting peoples in bankrupcy, causing mental distress, litteraly stealing years (at least 1 so far) of our lives for a "kind of flu" that could kill a few unlucky ones? Cmon man...

If they had done things better in CHSLD and peoples didn't died there WITH covid, the stats would be nowhere near what they are now and TVA wouldn't be able to brainwash peoples in thinking it "killed" mo many peoples in Quebec.

^^^^^^^ Ditto. Until I have to take the vaccine due to travel, sporting events or concerts I will not be taking it. Pretty sure the mandatory vaccines will be fought in court and canceled ( hoping ). As HM said, the deaths have been embellished, if you have a heart attack and die with covid in your system it is a covid death. The vaccines will not stop the spreads, am amused when a SP puts down vaccinated, so what. you can still spread it.

Okay so don’t get the Astra Zeneca obviously health professionals disagree with you as they have approved it.
There is not much point to this rant of yours that anything made in India according to you is garbage, and I am sure nobody is going to convince you otherwise.
You asked for other people’s opinions they gave it
And the same people often shop online for cheap made in India Viagra with no problem.

hmmm over 10000 embellished deaths in Quebec alone, half a million in the US.
I will take the vaccine the first chance I get and luckily I have an appointment for it soon.
It is a 3 second jab in the arm and you are practically safe from being hospitalized or dying, and possibly protecting everybody around you. As far as I am concerned it is a no brainer, I want to be able to hug and kiss my kids and grand kids without fear and yes a bunch of SP also.
Fuck if people were doing it to protect their pet maybe their would be less arguments.

STN, you say it with such certainty. From what data do you draw this conclusion that you will definitely still spread it even when fully vaccinated (post 2 weeks)? Israel has vaccinated the most per capita in the world and their initial study shows that the spread has in fact been curbed by a significant degree. More analysis and data is needed for confirmation, but it does look like at least the Pfizer vaccine does reduce transmission

Hi Mike, with all due respect. I’m afraid I need to make some clarifications for peeps.

I’m not sure what your reading but all the new data is indicating contrary to what your posting here.

As per the last statement, this isn’t a debate of lockdown vs let her rip with the economy. It’s about whether the AZ vaccine is safe and even if it’s made in India.

If you guys get a chance to get it, go for it. It’s a good vaccine

U should be amused. But I think you are for wrong reason Saully.

People need to understand that mongerers and SP’s are high risk group of individuals. Lol, we are not with the general population, no matter what anyone says.

If your vaccinated and your kids who live with you are vaccinated and your all wearing masks and practicing safe measures, yes, someone could catch it, but the viral load will be so low that it may not transmit.

Your obviously DFK’ing with SP, breathing on them, sharing the same air amongst other things with a SP more intimately than with others, so the chance of getting transmission with someone who sees multiple people a day will be greater

If you went and made out with your GP you may also get it if both you guys were vaccinated. Chances would be small even if he saw 20-30 patients a day, but still possible like the SP

Read to the end. It should be obvious, you get the virus from someone and it is in your nasal cavity and sneeze. Did you think once the virus hits your body it instantly dies?

I read it and think my articles that I cited are better. The vaccines reduce transmission, you could still get it, yes, but chances are low. If you see a SP who sees 5-6 clients a day even if she’s vaccinated, she can get it, it would be a low chance, but that low chance increases with every client and the more intimate the encounter.

The good part is chances are neither you or the SP would get terribly sick even with the AZ vaccine

Here, you can still spread it.

This seems to be the case with coronavirus vaccines. In a recent preprint study which has yet to be peer reviewed, Israeli researchers tested 2,897 vaccinated people for signs of coronavirus infection. Most had no detectable virus, but people who were infected had one-quarter the amount of virus in their bodies as unvaccinated people tested at similar times post-infection.

Just to point out that a vaccinated person can spread the virus. It would be foolish to think not.

NOTHING is 100%. You MIGHT still spread it but the chances of a vaccinated person spreading it versus a non-vaccinated person is much less. This has to do with viral load. If a vaccinated person sheds virus it’ll be at a fraction of the amount that a non-vaccinated person. Severity of disease seems to be correlated with the initial amount of viral particles a person is exposed to. Getting vaccinated WILL help reduce transmission by a huge amount. Just look at the number of cases in the U.S. it is declining week over week as more people are getting vaccinated (estimated 35 million doses have been administered so far). The end of this pandemic is coming

It can also be that since the vaccine protect them from harsher effects they just don't go get tested too...

I think you made your point right there and your other arguments are just attempts to rationalize/sugarcoat it.

Point i was making was that even vaccinated i could still infect others if i catch it. But since you speak about this, its been some kind of BS argument since the start of this mediatic circus. Wearing a mask to "protect others". And this argument been BS from the start. If one person is very fearfull for her life, she can either not go out at all or buy an actual anti-viral mask that will filter just about everything. They don't need ME to protect them. Governements force everyone to put on a facial diaper that is not even 100% effective at what its supose to do, rather than invest on getting an anti-viral mask to everyone that is at risk for free. Its a dumb logic.

With all due respect Mike your argument makes no sense as anybody who is against getting vaccinated.
It is a 3 second jab in the arm that will protect you from getting hospitalized and dying along with a high percentage chance that you don’t transmit anything serious to anybody else.
If this is too much to ask of a person or for that person to have the social conscious to do then there is not much else to say.

You continue with ridiculous arguments of facial diaper, not being vulnerable etc etc.. where have you hidden your medical or science degree.
To the best of my knowledge you have always stated that you are over weight don't work out and spend a lot of time playing video games, so based on that alone yes you are vulnerable to get sick from this.
You would rather lock up all the aged and vulnerable so you can enjoy life to its fullest instead of getting a 3 second jab in the arm, not much else to say on the subject, this basically says it all.

I have two friends that are "anti vaccinators" and I've heard this argument and others before. They will debate the wearing of masks, not getting the vaccine, etc. But, they/we all of us live in a world where most people would disagree with them so they play by the rules at least in public. I think HM is voicing his opinion on the subject more so than going out on the streets trying to get anybody sick.

ORL here. Get vaccinated and stop focusing on things you are completely uneducated in(if that is the case). I understand the mechanism behind the vaccines but i'm not an backterial or immunologist specialist--I'll leave that the the people have studied for about 20+ years to take care of that part. The amount of patients that come in and have no clue whatsoever what covid or vaccines is is alarming. I'm scared that selective war will happen and take another toll on health workers who are DRAINED.

Minimizing the risk of getting infected is what matters and not the efficiency percentage of a specific vaccine.

I'll add too this that: Studies are still underway to decide whether or not a booster shot from another vaccine could be beneficial and to what extent.

I don’t believe he would intentionally get anybody sick either.
I just think he doesn’t take the fact that just in Quebec alone over 10,000 people have died all that seriously these people all had loved ones and I am sure none of them think their loss is just another statistic or that this whole virus situation is of no concern.
I have lost a relative in the US and a couple of people here in Quebec that I know, so no I do not agree with his way of thinking.
For me a 3 second jab in the arm I figure is the least I can do for myself for my family and whoever I may come in contact with and it is free
