If it does not kill you, it makes you stronger.
While I do not agree with that statement totaly, I can say for sure that in my case it made me stronger. I improvised and adapted to the situation and conditions. I made lamps out of car batteries and automotive light bulbs, I cooked on a propane camp stove and kept warm by filling 2 liter soft drink bottles and using it as a hot water bottle in bed at night. I slept in a warm bed layered in a sleeping bag and blankers with the improvised hot water bottle providing heat for the humans and kitty slept on top of the pile getting heat for herself too. I was well stocked on food and had few need considering the circumstances. I also shared as much as I could with others, it is times like this when people show their humanity or lack of.
