if you lived in montreal, would you have SPs visit your apt?

Tough choice

I would have to agree with EB on this one.

It's a tough choice. There are some arguments to be made about the fact of having an unknown person in your house or apartment. I would have to be comfortable with that SP to bring her to my house. It's happened to me once only, without any problems. We did start our "relationship" in the hotels though. I think that's the way to go. Create something then go to the next level.

First, I don't think he was intending to bring a street girl to his appartment.

Second, a little less than half of the street girls in Montreal are junkies... and even those, most are indys (for statistical information). Street girls make up about 10% of working girls. Is it fair to judge the other 90% based on information about 10%?

Third, I would not reccomend bringing a street girl to your home, as I said earlier though, it should not be a problem if you stick with reputable SPs and agencies.

Do some home work here and there should not be a problem. When I worked for agencies I was even more often sent to a person's home. I think the reason it happens less now, is that most of my clientele is from out of town.

I can see the concerns, but I`m thinking of going with FKS or The companions. I`ve lurked on these boards on and off for a bit over a year and given their all-around stellar reputations, I really doubt I`d have to worry about having one of those girls visit. Maybe I`m too trusting, only time will tell. Regardless, we pay for insurance for a reason, right?

once again, in Canada prostitution is legal. Especially independant outcalls. So what is the problem with LE?

I know, but they like so much to waste their time on the wrong time sometime...

Perhaps Ronnie, but I actually just bought one not even a month ago so there's no need to commit fraud :) btw if you have questions about high-end audio gear, ask away; that's something I know and love. I've actually listened to Rachmaninov's piano concerto no. 2 every night since purchasing the new system heh. It's like a routine every night before bed. The RCA living stereo SACD is great.

Hobbyist Timeshare

Another way to address the same issue is to set up a "hobbyist timeshare." This has been previously discussed. For example, a group of hobbyists all invest in a designated hobbyist condo or an apartment in Montreal. Ideally, you would have a few Montreal hobbyists and some of out of towners. The condo could be used on a rotating basis as with any other timeshare. If it has 2 bedrooms, then the local hobbyist would potentially still be able to use it when someone is in town depending on what has been arranged.

I have had some discussions with some other hobbyists about doing this and it is certainly one other way to skin the cat.

if you guys manage the timeshare condo thing then I am willing to do the managing the condo. I mean I could be the guy with a key to the condo (since I live in Montreal) and people will contact me with their travel info. and I will do the booking/arrangement.
and of course that arrangement will be sent out to those people who are part of the timeshare condo. and times when there is no one using it then I could try to fill the condo with merb and other members for a small fixed fee which will be used to decorate the place or simply to place some nice drinks for the owners of condo. :)

So you want to round up say ten guys, invest at least 10-15k each, put your real name on a publicly available property deed, open a bawdy house, get busted cause your neighbours are complaining about the noise, and have all your names printed in the Journal de Montréal?

Vous en avez fumé du bon! ;)

JB,

That is not exactly the plan. That is the plan of a dickhead who knows shit about these things. I am not a dickhead. Who said anything about real names? Do you know anything about real estate and straw companies? Only a complete moron would set up the deal the way you have described. Ladies and gents, this is why lawyers exist, to save people who think this way from setting up deals on their own.

Timeshares are set up for a number of reasons, usually as a vacation destination, and what somebody does on their vacation in the privacy of their hotel room/apartment/time share is nobody's business but their own.

just like what EB said.
You are a owner of the condo (well part owner) so you are entitled to stay there whenever you want.
and a nice pretty lady comes up to say hello and you have a drink with her (in your PRIVATE property).

joeblow -> you are not letting strangers come to your condo and let them have fun with ladies you provide. did you get arrested because you are having sex wtih your girlfriend/wife in your house and you guys made too loud noise? I don't think so.

In my more active hobbying days in the mid-to-late 1990s, I had a number of SPs come to my apartment. I did not worry excessively about theft, and I was using pretty low-end agencies ($110/hr at the time). I did make sure to ask how the SPs were dressed, though, so as to not draw undue attention. I was also single so I did not worry about scent etc.
To cut to the chase, the worst part experience I had was with a completely unresponsive SP who spent the time criticizing my furniture and decor. It was bad enough to have an SP who did not want to do anything more than HJ, and then have the Debbie Travis treatment on top of it!

It's all good.
Home stays usually provide more mileage, based on ease and comfort.
And, most agencies don't like paper trails, and do not keep them on file, as i constantly have to remind them of my address....
this business is about scrawling down addresses on napkins and throwing them out at the end of the night. you think the agency owners want to tell the feds how much they make?

But what of the chance of having a girl show up at your home with track marks on her arms or some other indications of drug abuse? Would you be comfortable having a complete stranger who's strung out looking around your place, possibly casing it? What about the driver parked outside your front door at the end of the session, again, possibly casing your place for a future unscheduled "visit"?
