My understanding of "rookie" is some one who started in the business in 2017
That what I thought, but it would suck for someone who may have started in let’s say last week of December of 2016? Kinda unfair that they would not be considered...not sure if someone fits that bill, but if there is you’d have to come up with some criteria to define what a “rookie” is.
If you only started hobbying in 2017 everyone might as well be a rookie ... and with so many name changes, unknowns and other intangibles who can say for sure who is and is not a rookie?
The definition was not from me - it was the definition that has been used for previous years.
I guess the guy in charge of the rookie of the year contest would have to verify the date and all. Yeah its a bit "unfair" if she started late november 2016 or early december 2016 but thats what it is... Who makes the rules anyway? Those contest never been "official" as in conducted by merb but always conducted by the guys, so the guy in charge of the poll i supose will be the one to decide if its ok to include a late december new SP for rookie of the year or not...
Anyway i think it was last year i made up the poll for reviewer of the year and the participation was outrageously bad... Very few members participating so im not gonna do it this year... If anybody decide to do it ill vote but thats it.
As for seperating agency girls and indies, its never been done before i doubt it will be this year, but again it depend on that the volonteer decide to do.

Should there be a new category for these SP’s who start late in a year ie “best new comer”? Ie anyone starting from October?
What about only 3 category? Included in one single merb post?

I like this. After all, this is what it is all about.
I'll bet that the average lifespan of an escort is about 6 months...maybe less. What about some award for the girls that stick around for 5 years or more or even 10 years and still love this job? Now that is something. I just don't know how to frame it.
I like Jalimon's 1-year moratorium on no best agencies. When it appears that there may have been forces bullying other agencies out of existence for their own personal gain and that is the only reason Euphoria doesn't exist, then I say we should remove this category for one year. However, if I were to vote I would vote for the Unicorn Faith Healers or whatever the fuck they are. Jasmine and Co have brought a new business model to Montreal and I like it.
Problem is they are pretty much all indy anyway, so by adding a best indy category we then include them no?

Keep it simple...we are doing it just for fun......why not only
1-Best sp 2017 with 2 runner'up......including agencies and indies.
2-Best rookie 2017 with 2 runner's up......including agencies and indies.

I am waiting on a few more feedback. And Hungry's point is completely valid. Most sp do not even stay a year, so why a rookie/newcomer of the year? We could simply have:
1, Best agency sp 2017:
2, Best indy sp 2017:
The thing I would like to add is the possibility to name more then one girl. Let's admit it most of us do not have just one best sp... We have like 2, 3 or 4 each. So if we name 4 each get .25 points. This multiname will get a chance to more girl to earn points.
If everyone respect the format it would be easy to copy past each result in a csv file, parse it and get result withing minutes
