I have this friend who is dating a stripper and getting ripped off. I told him about this hobby and how it is a good option. Now he is jealous of me. He talks about how one can get STDs etc. I was surprised with his reaction. Both of us are single so I don't see any cheating issues involved with significant other here.

I am not sure why should anyone dating a stripper be jealous of a hobbiest? How one is morally different from another?

well...

I don't know if it's jealousy, but he definitely seems to think there's a moral difference between the two activities. Or maybe he doesn't believe in casual sex? A bit hypocritical for someone dating a stripper, but whatever.
How is he getting ripped off, btw? Have you tried asking WTF his problem is?

This guy is buying jewellry for the stripper and was telling me that the stripper treats him like dirt. Since he was complaining, I though that I would tell him about other possibilities that may not be so expensive. Anyway, it back fired. I did not ask him WTF is his problem and chose to let it go. I am surprised, however, to see that there can be moral differences between two activities. To me both involve sex for money. In case of stripper though it is not well defined as to how much money per session and usually that is where people get ripped off.

Not to him. He thinks he is getting "for free" from the stripper, and that he's just treating her like a girlfriend by buying her gifts.

He's a sucker.

That is absolutely right. Very strange as far as I am concerned. He wants to marry her  if he can.

If only I knew...
He's dating a stripper... For real or does he just think he is? I mean, does he have sex with her? If she's treating him like shit, I don't know but I would not want to have sex with shit? Maybe he's not getting any?

Look like your friend is sick, sick with a very dangerous disease... He is in love... He doesn't realize maybe she isn't and she only want sex and money and, that's if she want sex, not just rub and thug in the strip club, real sex!

Since he's in love, there's no moral issues for him: they're lovers (in his head at least). So, since she's perfect, no risk of catching STD either since she's only doing it with him (again, in his head and again, assuming they do it)!

Oh! About him being jealous? I don't think so! He probably pity you for having to resort to escorts while he have a girlfriend!

Could it be jealousy but the other way around, in some twisted way? ;) (and I say "twisted" LOL!! :p )

metoo4,

yes, he has sex with her but on her terms. She determines whether she wants to give him a BJ or not. He only gets 1SOG with no BJ at best. The funny thing is that the stripper tells him that she has a boyfriend to keep my friend in line.

No, I am not jealous of him because I have not seen this stripper except for the photos that my friend has shown me. I just wanted to inform him about this hobby so that he can get a better milage for the money he spends. Once it backfired, I have learnt to drop this subject entirely and we don't discuss it. As I mentioned before, I was only surprised by his reaction.

If the girl has told him she has a boyfriend, then he is not dating her, he is paying her for her company. So it doesn't matter what he thinks of the hobby because, like it or not, he is a part of it. He just doesn't want to admit it to himself. I actually feel sorry for him because it will only last as long as he spends money and if he thinks that he is the only guy she is doing this with, he really needs a wake up call.

As far as dating a stripper is concerned, it's just like dating any other woman. She just has a different job than most and you have to adapt to it.

I am getting a feeling that my friend is trying to impress the stripper so that he can make her change her mind. To me that is too naive and too stupid. I thought that introducing him to this hobby land would allow him to see that there are other options.

Initially, he had told me that it is an investment where you spend most of your money earlier and reap the benefits for a long time. The funny thing is that it has been three months and spending period is only escalating.

The problem with your friend's situation is that the girl has told him she has a boyfriend. If he thinks she will leave the guy, he's an idiot. I've always had one rule that I've tried to follow...don't fuck with another man's woman. If she'll cheat on him with you, she'll cheat on you with someone else. Not to mention that if the guy does happen to care for her, and he finds out, he might not be too understanding about the situation. I know I wouldn't be.

They are not married, but may be she gives him a feeling of being married and perhaps, in some twisted way, this is what my friend wants.
