End of discussion? For you maybe. Biden is certainty a superior selection to the one-term, twice impeached, four-time indicted, found liable for business fraud, sexual assault, and defamation former president who tried to overturn the 2020 election results and illegally hold on to power.

Again, this is useless discussion who is better Biden or Trump. Biden simply does not fit to be the President in his current state. You can argue that Trump does not fit either and this probably also true.

Let me correct your last sentence : "you can argue that Trump does not fit either and this CERTAINLY also true ! "

Nevertheless, American voters must select either a good, decent, experienced man like Biden or someone facing 91 felony counts and who has been found liable for sexual assault, fraud, and defamation. Like Mark Cuban said he'd choose Biden even if Biden was being given the last rites.

How is trying to get humanitarian aid to the suffering population in Gaza a mistake? So what do you advocate? Do nothing? The problem is Netanyahu not Biden.

For now, Hamas seizes and controls most of the aid in the southern Gaza while distributing or even re-sales some to population at its name. The aid needs to be given to individuals and families directly which requires building corresponding logistics like distribution centers, dining halls etc.. US does not even plan for this.

More good news about Biden.

The CEO of a $60 billion hedge fund says Americans should be alarmed about the country’s rapidly expanding debt.

New numbers from the Treasury Department show the national debt climbed from $34.393262 trillion on March 1st to $34.561173 trillion on March 20th, a rise of $167.911 billion in just 20 days.

At this point, the rapid pace of the country’s debt accumulation poses a major risk to America’s fiscal future, according to Citadel CEO Ken Griffin.

In a new CNBC interview at the International Futures Industry conference in Florida, Griffin says the lack of daily dialogue about the growing national debt is allowing the government to borrow at a rate that’s irrational and dangerous.

Griffin says no outside entity can or will save the United States from a debt crisis.

“I think the biggest issue that’s not priced in the markets right now is the sovereign risk of US credit… It’s not AAA anymore, I wish it were AAA.

The trump 2017 tax cuts, that largely benefited the rich, are primarily responsible for the increasing national debt. Biden wants to raise the corporate tax rate to 28% and raise taxes on individual incomes over $400,000.

Biden wants to do this and that, why has it not been done yet? He has had almost 4 years to make tax changes and waits until election time.

Because the president can't change tax law alone. Both houses of congress must take action and Republicans won't agree to increase taxes on the rich.

If only Biden and the democrats had control of both senate and the house… they could have done this AND make abortion legal (instead of relying on the whims of the Supreme Court).

Oh wait, they controlled the house for a full 2 years and did not do it.

More fun to raise money promising to do something than to actually do it.

What you have conveniently neglected to consider is that to enact new legislation both houses of congress must approve any new law. Having a majority in the House alone is not a guarantee of legislative success.

Democrats had a majority in both the house and senate for Biden’s first 2 years no?

Edit: just confirmed through wikipedia they did.

So our “good president” dropped the ball there. Imagine if he pushed a federal abortion rights bill… he could have made the roe v wade challenge moot.

No. Because government spending keeps on increasing. Each person when has too much debt must decide to get their spending under control and reduce it to pay off debts. Only government does not. Reality is government spending is out of control. It is time to cut taxes and take a hard look, time for government to cut its spending and reduce its size. Taxing the rich is a ridiculous Socialist ploy, these additional costs get passed on to the customers it is usually the poor that suffer the most.

The best thing for Biden to do is dismantle the IRS and install a Fair Tax system.

Government needs to cut its spending like stop taxing its citizens and sending money to foreign countries.

In most cases a simple majority in the Senate doesn't guarantee legislative success because of cloture also known as the fillibuster. Any one Senator can prevent a vote by the entire Senate and it takes a 60 vote super majority to end a filibuster.

Can’t they invoke a “nuclear option” and resolve the filibuster if they value the proposal enough to push it to a real vote? It was done a few times recently (2017 I see).

In the end raising taxes would be unpopular either to the population (if taxes were broad enough to matter) or to donors (if taxes were theatrical and targeted the “rich”).

Real popular issues like tackling carried interest rate are just never on the table. As a philosopher once quipped “Hillary won’t close the tax loopholes I use because her donors rely on them too”.

She never proposed to close them and Biden did not either. Bernie talked about it and that is one of the reason the democrats snuffed him out!
