I completely agree with Bates. Kimbo was getting pounded for a good minute and half at the end of round two and the ref didn't stop it. As soon as he had an opportunity in the 3rd round and Thompson was staggered he jumped in and stopped it. It may have only taken another shot or two but the ref should've let him go. A bleeding ear isn't going to deter a fighter.

Lastly, EliteXC is banking on Kimbo Slice and for him to lose would've been bad for the company.

I agree with all of this. EliteXC is cheese!

Sunday nights WEC matches were far better IMO

Kimbo is the most exiting Fighter since Royce Gracie

Thompson had the worst ear coming into the fight that I've ever

seen and I've seen some bad one's throughout the years. That

was suspect from the get go.

Like specialK said, ref should have called in at the end of the 2nd

round for Kimbo he was on the floor get pounded and even gave

up but they ignored it.

Dont get me wrong I've been a Kimbo fan since I saw his street

videos on youtube but he cant hack it in the ring.

He's got alot to learn and not much time to do it in.

Anyone know how old he is? Looks near 40 to me

I agree with you 100% ! We just knew that a dangerous opponent like Kimbo Slice was going to go for the ear. It struck all of us my friends and I to see the poor condition that his ear was in when both Warriors entered the Octogon ! If not for the ear, I strongly beleive that Thompson might of just got the decision and pull the upset !!! To me he was ahead in the match ! Nadya.

Kimbo slice took quite a bit of punishment.He was gonna have his ass handed to him if the ref hadn't stopped the fight.Thompson was the man of the match he had it and even though the ref stopped the fight you could see in his eyes that he wanted to go on.Too bad they stopped the fight in my opinion he would've won.
