Anything is possible. I never give detailed info to a newbie. I always check previous reviews first.

I agree with Czar. I actually asked this question to the Mods shortly after joining MERB. The Mod's advice was essentially the same as that of Czar.

To the Mods: Would it be a good idea to add this advice to the MERB guidelines regarding PMs?

4) The PM function

i) Members may receive PMs from other members asking for information regarding various services received or other information that you may have not included in a review post, especially when it is a massage review. Please think before providing such information and verify the member`s posting history on the board if this is a member you are not familiar with. Providing such information to the wrong person may lead to unforeseen complications for the provider.

Over the years, I have gotten dozens of PM's from members with less than 5 posts, most who only had 1 post....I never respond and just delete the message.

This thread reminds me of some PMs I got on one of the NYC escort review boards where LE infiltration is a much bigger concern. There is a poster there whom I am suspecting of being LE. He sends me PMs offering a lot of info (possibly bogus), and then he tells me to check out so called "UTR" places he has been to, which he claims are the bomb and offer FS with Playboy centerfold types for $200/hour. He then tells you that you can also partake in the private club, but it is by referral only, and he needs to know the name you will be using when you show up at the specified destination.

More recently, after a very prominent NYC MP of which I am a member posted on their private board that they are not giving out the password to any new members, specifically due to LE concerns, this same dude wrote to me and asked me what the password was to get into the website of that MP.

I doubt such issues are as worrisome on a Montreal board, but if it sounds fishy and too good to be true, and someone is doing a whole lot of something out of the goodness of their heart, it's quite possible it is BS and maybe LE.

Depends on the questions being asked. Given that outcall is legal in Canada I wouldn't be terribly suspicious unless the questions were about really young looking or possibly underage sp's, sp's that brought drugs. As far as incalls and massage places LE already knows where those are and don't need merb to find them. They could shut them down anytime they want but have chosen to deal with them on a complaint only basis.

I'm sure they monitor here just to see if anything new pops up but most of what they would be interested, other than underage and drugs, is advertised freely on the internet by the providers themselves.

It would be insane to engage the services of an SP in the States now, especially since many Vice Squads want to be on TV so they are taking the likes of National Geographic Channel, 20/20, etc. to drug raids, etc. I wonder if the shows give money to the police departments for the privilege of tagging along and filing the entire raid, from inception to the bust. :noidea:

Yes but KF you can sleep more soundly at night knowing that this activity will not be tolerated in the States can't you/ Don't you feel safer? My friend, I would if I could find a job and learn how to speak and write French fluently. :canada::thumb: (Sorry, Merb does not have Quebec`s flag, which I would place next to Canada`s.) I`d probably die broke but that`s not a bad thing.
