Let's talk shoes, do you have a shoe collection?

There is a Nike Clearance Store and Adidas Factory Store near I live. I have picked up various sneakers at deep discounts from there. Two weeks ago found an awesome pair of Nike Pegasus 37, Nike Air Zoom Structure 24 and a Nike Air Winflo 7. All three pairs came out to $140. If I bought them at the tourist trap Nike stores I would pay upwards of $400. Also have two pairs of Adidas running shoes. They have not been used yet because I am still rocking out my Nike MC Trainer shoes.
For dress shoes I love single monk straps which I have four pairs of. I can just slip them right on and out the door and they go very well with jeans and dress pants.

I wear Skechers which makes a very comfortable sneaker and casual shoe. They also make a slip on, laceless sneaker that is cool. But the soles wear out in a year or two. When I pay $60 I don't expect durability, so not a big deal. $60 fetches you a disposable sneaker and they make a very comfortable lightweight model.

Anyone ever been to that shoe store "Centrall MTL" in downtown Montreal?
They usually have long lineups almost every week. They have a bunch of expensive $500 dollar shoes. It's apparently like the coolest shoe store in downtown.

The Skechers Go Walks are good shoes. Don’t buy them from the Skechers retail store though find a Skechers Outlet store because it is going to save you $30 to $40.
That place is more about fashion/looks than function lol. Plus I find their stuff majority of them repulsive.
Damn man, every pair of sketchers shoes I owned fell apart within a summer. Same for Aldo and that sort of mid-range stuff.
I have owned 5 pairs of Skechers. One laceless shoe did come apart at the seams after several wearings. I sent it back to Skechers for their "examination" and got a full refund. All other Skechers I bought wore normally. No unusual wear and tear issues. I concluded that the bad pair I bought came from the zero wage monkey factory in Thailand. Monkeys are being enslaved and used to pick coconuts so it's possible Skechers subcontracted with some supplier which is using the cheap (free) monkey labor. My hope is they traced my pair to a bad batch and eliminated the supplier.

I only mentioned Skechers because I believed you were interested in a comfortable sneaker like walking shoe. If you want a more rugged and durable shoe which maybe is not quite as comfortable but more suitable for rugged terrain like walking trails or hiking, I recently bought these shoes from LL Bean (I got the Oakwood color now on sale for $84.99):

They felt a little stiff at first but they quickly break in and get more comfortable. I have owned many LL Bean shoes over the year and also buy their dress shoes, although they no long seem to make the tassled slip on shoes I have worn for the last 10 years or so.
You have not asked about boat shoes, but my two favorite makers are Margaritaville and Sperry. I love Margarativalle's boat shoes. I think they are the best ones on the market. but unfortunately they do not make a smaller than size 8 shoe, which sucks, because an 8 is too big for me. So I go to the next best boat shoe, Sperry (although LL Bean makes a very solid and durable boat shoe as well). Sperry goes down to a size 7 and shows some love for the small footed man. This is the one I bought a few months ago (got tan color, but having 7 colors to choose from is cool):

I realize boat shoes may not be as popular in Montreal as they are here, but growing up in Fairfield County, if you did not have a pair of boat shoes you were not deemed to be cool in high school. These were the warm weather shoes of choice, and de Riguer with the prep school crowd. Sperry is a very popular brand. Margaritaville came on the market from Jimmy Buffet more recently, and they are a better looking shoe IMHO. I was going to send a letter to Jimmy Buffet about not making a lower than size 8 shoe, but never did. I was devastated not to be able to buy their shoe, although I did buy a pair of their flip flops which were awesome. They had like a skull and crossbones on them and they wore for a long time.

Finally on flip flops as I mentioned I really really like Margaritaville, I think they are like small
medium and large and the small fit me fine. I bought these Under Armors around 4 years ago and they are great, but as you can see from this pic the interior soles are wearing out and the days are numbered for this pair of shoes. I wear them as slippers at home at night and in the morning, with and without socks (obviously without when I am at the swimming pool and beach):
