Johnston says Palin lost his vote

(CNN) – The father of Sarah Palin's grandchild is continuing to speculate on why the Alaska governor decided to abruptly resign her post, telling CNN Monday it's likely because she was overly stressed and wanted to cash in on lucrative offers.

"I think it's because she got a few offers and she decided to take the money and she was a little stressed out at the same time," Levi Johnston said.

Also appearing on NBC Monday, the 19-year old added, "There have been a few times when she talked about how it is a very stressful job. I can understand that, and then after the campaign we had tons of offers coming in and all kinds of ridiculous things."

He also said Palin wanted to do a reality show, though her children were against it.

"There was talk about it'd be nice to just take the money and run or do a reality show maybe or something easier," he said. "There was talk about it but us and the kids, we didn't want to do any of that."

Johnston, who himself has said he has received multiple offers for television shows, also said he thinks the Alaska governor markedly changed after her losing bid as the GOP vice presidential candidate.

"She wasn't as outgoing and I just didn't see the spark in her eyes about being the governor anymore," he said. "She became quiet, she would come home and just hang out in a room, you could tell something was wrong."

Declaring "fame got to her head," Johnston also said he would not vote for Palin after her latest actions.

"After what she has done now, quitting on Alaska, I don't really think she, being the governor, should have for Alaska. She means a lot to me, I would do just about anything for her, but I really don't think I would vote for her if she ran for president."

Palin spokeswoman Meg Stapleton has dismissed Johnston's take, referencing his own show business aspirations. "It is interesting to learn Levi is working on a piece of fiction while honing his acting skills," Stapleton told reporters last week.

Johnston is the former boyfriend of Palin's daughter Bristol and is the father of Bristol's baby.

Meanwhile, Palin told the Washington Times in an interview published Sunday she plans to spend her days out of office traveling the country on behalf of candidates she supports — even if they are Democrats.

"I will go around the country on behalf of candidates who believe in the right things, regardless of their party label or affiliation," she said.

Palin has already reportedly signed on to headline an event sponsored by the Republican Women Federated of Simi Valley, California in the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library next month. She's also being courted to keynote a major Iowa Republican event next fall.

Mouth for hire Meg Stapleton can defend Palin all she wants (at least as long as she's cashing Sarah's cheques) but the kid is right: in addition to any other weaknesses Palin has now shown that she's a quitter. Why - apart from terminal stupidity -would anyone ever vote for her?

First of all Centaurus, the country was in the toilet, during the Republican presidency...

Secondly, if Sarah Palin was less retarded, she would've talked to her teenage daughter about safe sex practices. If she was in favor of free choice, she could've discuss with her daughter about having an abortion instead of having this ''deadbeet'' dad in her life for at leasts the next 18 years.
But Sarah Palin is against abortion even in a rape case!!!! I wonder if she changed her mind, now that she has to deal with her son-in-law for many years!

Uh, Mr. Limbaugh....the kids has fully supported his son since his birth. The only problem, though, is that the stoopid Clampett, i mean Palin family, has refused to let him be with his own son by himself. He can't even go for a walk with his own sun unless one of the Palin nutbars is around them.

Not only that, but the dingbat gave birth to a mentally handicapped baby (Down's Syndrome), knowing full well for the most part of her pregnancy that her baby would likely be mentally handicapped by the time it'd be born (now that i think about it, he must take after his mother!).

I understand some women don't have a choice in such matters, but she did. I find what she did to be extremely cruel to another human being.

DOC, I agree with the two other post you made here but... can't you guys vote for someone who can do something else than being popular ?

You just did with Obama. He wasn't popular in the beginning at all and then everyone found out he could at least rally the support of many, many people instead of getting everyone against Americans like Bush did.

I don't care if they are democrats, republicain, vulcain or from the planet Mars, this thing about 'partys' is the same sh*t as we have here in Canada where people vote because they prefer one party than the other.

So please... would you vote for MJ now that he's more popular than he was 2 months ago ? Because that's the logic behind this. Same as paying an as*hole 144millions because he's popular.

Put Pailin in the driver seat and you sure gonna go downhill again.

Isn't America due to vote and support and work with people who wants to really work instead of playing a game like babies ?

My God you really don't know what the futur will bring !

Isn't the republicains who asked for more and more spending again and again and again in the last 8 years ? For what ? put the country into such a bad shape and loosing a lot of support all over the world ?

Republicains or Democrats doesn't do any difference. You sound like the kid who can't share when playing.

What really makes a difference is when America stand together and work for a good cause like they did before. Instead of working their as* off and giving their money to a governement who just put them into more debt and sh*t all over the world.
