mais j'ai confiance......thanks for this new/important thread.

As predicted, Carney has been given the crown and is now the PM of Canada. An unelected official who is not even a MP. There are some important implications of this. Not all Canadians can elect him, about 0.375% of Canadians were able to elect him. I base this off about 150,000 people that can vote for him out of a population of 41 million. So if you were not a member of the Liberal party then you had no say on who was to be handed the crown. The other important implication is because he is not an elected official, the rules of ethics does not apply to him because he will be considered a private citizen. Carney does not have to have the same disclosures as an elected MP would until Carney is finally elected PM. Carney also cannot sit on the floor of the House of Commons, he got to watch above like the rest of us. He cannot engage in any sort of debate till he wins a seat as a MP.

People seem to think that Carney is the messiah of the Liberal party and think it will be different just because he was a banker. Having a banker as a PM, what can go wrong? Lol Remember Carney was Trudope's economic advisor for five years. Carbon Tax Carney is also part of the Century Initiative. The results are clear of 9 years of the Trudeau Liberals. A housing crisis, food inflation, record use of food banks. Carbon Tax Carney is just like Trudope. He is Trudeau 2.0 but on steroids. It is essentially the same cabinet.

^^^^ Marc Mendicino was former minister for Trudeau, he is now the new chief of staff of Carney. He ruined the immigration system with mass immigration causing a housing crisis. He let out Paul Bernardo from maximum security prison as public security safety minister. He lead the police crackdown against the peaceful Freedom Convoy.

^^^^ David Lametti is joining Carney's transition team. He replaced Jody WIlson-Raybould because she was not corrupt enough. He invoked the Emergencies Act on peaceful truckers who wanted to be free from authoritarian covid mandates. He sent threatening emails to a Conservative MP.

As Carney is part of the Century Initiative, he will continue mass immigration in an effort to rapidly increase the population to help the rich get more richer and keep house prices high and rents high. He will continue to bring hundreds of thousands of refugees and give them a free hotel and monthly paychecks as part of the agenda to increase the population. He also is tricking people to say he is scrapping the carbon tax till he wins the election then will install a new hidden carbon tax directly to industries and imports who will pass on the costs to the consumer. Of course when Carney was chairman of Brookfield, he dodged millions of dollars of taxes with tax haven accounts, you can find it in the Panama Papers report. Carney is just as corrupt as Trudope.

Another four years of the Carney Liberals will be a total disaster for Canada.

When I think of Carney's coronation, I am reminded of Kim Campbell and John Turner, both unelected and defeated in general elections.

Call the election!
Exactly. And we know what happened to both of them, both did not last long and lost miserably.

I see you know him very well and all his agenda. You should consider becoming a political consultant.

No. That is based on facts. He was selected, not elected. His cabinet is the same as Trudeau's. Read his website, he plans the same climate change nonsense with carbon taxes. All facts. Prove me otherwise.

True, but they lost to Jean Chrétien and Brian Mulroney. They were miles ahead of the caliber of PP...
Brian Mulroney did some good things but he was a globalist. He started the trend of mass immigration. He once said Canada needs 1 million immigrants a year. The goal was to help the rich get more richer. He started the immigration investor program (IPP) that brought in rich people from Hong Kong who were able to buy citizenship. That was the main cause of housing in Vancouver getting so expensive. And you do remember that Mulroney resigned the same way Trudeau did? Only to install Kim Campbell where the PC party suffered their biggest loss ever.

Jean Chretien was great but not without faults. He was involved in the Sponsorship scandal, when it all came out that resulted in Harper winning. I been a Liberal voter for a long time till Trudeau came. He took the party so far to the left that I am done with the Liberals. We had a shit show for 9 years due to Trudeau's policies and the MPs all supported it till Trudeau's polls started going down. I never seen so much corruption and now Carney takes over. Trudeau 2.0. The only other option is the Conservatives. It is about choosing the lesser of two evils.

I agree, I want the election called now.

I don't understand why the Canadian government are dragging their feet in the face of Trump's tariffs.

We need a solid mandate from someone in this country.
Is it not obvious? The Liberals want to remain in power. I would not be surprised if they halt elections and put in emergency powers to remain in power indefinitely using Trump's tariffs as their justification. But Canadians are not bothered by this.

Obviously the above poster did not understand a single word I wrote. I will rephrase. I was suggesting a possible move by the Liberals to remain in power without having an election and that Canadians seem okay with it, no protest about this. They prorogued parliament for two months putting the government to a halt on the eve of Trump's tariffs. Time for an election now! Time for Canadians to vote for the new PM of Canada. We need a stable government to deal with Trump's tariffs whichever party Canadians choose.

Don't worry...it's coming.....and CARNEY is the best to deal with the actual TROMP"S chaos..and he is the best pour établir un partenariat avec nos partenaires/alliés in this crucial period....will travel next week in EUROPE...that's the way to go...
alors que PP is totally absent.....prône dans le désert.....et s'enfonce/s'enferme dans de la petite politique populiste...not the type of leadership we are looking for.....yes agree....TIME TO VOTE CANADA.

Sounds good to me. He has actual relevant experience.

I fear that he might not have the skills required for the job though. Trump seems to be suffering from dementia or something. Perhaps we need a medical professional as PM. Maybe they could better help deal with the mental disturbance currently inhabiting the White House.

I just thought I would leave these real-world experiences from others in dealing with Mark Carney. They are a former British PM during Mark Carney's tenure with the Bank of England, the British people in general and how Carney destroyed their economy, and a Peruvian Mayor who knows full well that the environmental drivel that Carney spews is bullshit and the man is corrupt beyond redemption.

Call the election, it is long overdue. Canadians need a majority government with a new vision and a new leader.

Like the post #15 who firmly believes in Carney, today on the news they showed Carney repealing the carbon tax.

^^^^^ It is even on the news. But it is a trick. Look at Carney's website. He states what he will do. He plans to put a hidden carbon tax directly on manufacturers and imports who will of course pass on the costs to consumers. The people that trust Carney are naive. Carney is sneaky and a compulsive liar. You do realize that the carbon tax is law, you cannot wake up one day and say you will not apply the law just because it is unpopular. You must first repeal the law.

^^^^^ The law is called the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act. He is the trick that Carbon Tax Carney will do, in order to remove the carbon tax he must first repeal the law but that cannot happen because parliament is prorogued. As soon as parliament resumes, an election will happen. He will just tell the CRA to not collect it, but it is still there as it is the law. So it will not go away, it will just not be collected till after the election. How can anyone trust Carney when his entire cabinet are basically the same MPs who were in Trudeau's cabinet who all supported Trudeau's destructive policies? How can we believe a word Carney says, it does not go away just because he says it. He has to first repeal the law.
