Around the corner
Guns are a huge problem especially automatic weapons that can kill hundreds in a matter of minutes, and yes gun control measures are needed badly, but with the hundreds of thousands of guns already out there any type of gun control measures are not going to have an effect for generations to come and each government be it Republican or Democrat is too chicken shit to try any kind of meaningful gun control because it is political suicide.
The truth is Americans have an inherent ridiculous love for guns.
I am totally against guns but seeing what is happening all over Europe makes you think whether or not owning a gun is going to be the only way any law abiding citizen will be able to walk the streets and be able to protect himself and his family.
The real problem is the complete break down of families and family values and the way children have been brought up and the mass immigration of young men of military age who have no intention of assimilating into society and think violence is the way to get what they want without having to work for it.

Here you go, the father was arrested:
It's what I have been saying: poor parenting and loss of family values. Finally, LE is understanding the parents have to be held responsible for their horrible parenting.

I'm all for holding parents accountable for any actions that may have contributed to this horrific crime. Too bad the gun manufacturer couldn't be held responsible too. At this point we don't know what those actions were so let's not be in a rush to convict the father. Unfortunately, in view of Georgia's very lax gun laws, a conviction may be challenging. Of course tougher gun safety laws would fix that.

There are over 400 million guns in the US held by civilians. That is about 50% of the total in the world. Today's guns, like assault weapons, are more lethal than the guns on the 1960s or 1980s. There were fewer mass shooting gun deaths during the 1994 to 2004 when assault weapons were banned nationally. There are fewer mass shootings in states, like mine, where assault weapons are banned today. Those of us who believe in common sense gun safety regulations understand that societal factors are part of problem, but that the biggest factor is the obscene amount of lethal weapons that exist and can easily be used by disturbed individuals to murder innocent people.

Tonight I saw on TV that the father has been charged with serious accusations including 2nd degree murder or something liked that and a few other charges.
Even if last year his son showed dangerous mental problems, he bought him the AR-15 for Christmas and didn't secured it.
Tonight in a rally, J.D.Vance told that assault weapons restrictions weren't required and useful in USA. Again NRA money ?

I haven't seen a few posts before my last post but it adds to discussion.

Very interesting stuff from the past.

James Holmes was among elite in neuroscience before Aurora theater massacre

After reading the above I had to check this out:

From mind control to murder

"MK-Ultra was a top secret programme of experiments in mind control that used, as its basic formula, doses of LSD given to “expendables”.
Gottlieb wanted to discover how much LSD a human being could take. Could there be a breaking point, he wondered
– a dose so massive that it would shatter the mind and blast away consciousness, leaving a void into which new impulses or even a new personality could be implanted?"

Mindblowing read below.
Made me paranoid just reading.

Project MK-Ultra

They should absolutely test any mass shooter for mind altering drugs.
Or even mind altering nanotech.
Probably stuff happening these days that we have no immediate comprehension of.
Why always kids shooting up schools??
When the mind is in the most impressionable developmental phase hence the most vulnerable phase.
