I just saw an article about Desjardins and Banque nationale closing 30% or more of their store with cash withdrawals machines.

I am not against it since the only time that I go to the bank is to withdraw money for this hobby lol, I know that some indy allow etransfert but I don’t think MP and sp agency will do it soon, since their practice is
« illegal ».
What do you think about that? Do you think that sp and mp should allow other method of payment ?

Cash is king!

The less paper trail there is, the better. What you’re doing isn’t legal so to pay via e-transfers comes with risks. To accept e-transfers also comes with risks, I’ve heard my fair share of horror stories concerning that.

I know some of my coworkers accept gift cards as payments which can usually be bought with debit or credit cards.

Indeed, and it's not like credit companies are adult-industry friendly. Far from it! Because of frauds by Interac transfer, I never accept those nowadays. We don't have much choice. If you'd rather pay with a credit card, many of us have a Wishtender!

I agree that cash is king.
But I’m just wondering what some risks are with paying by e-transfer.
Sorry if I’m sounding naive!

Assuming there is no scam involved and a client sends an e-transfer to an SP. How can it be proven what the transfer was for?
One can always say it was a gift, or payment for “other” professional services. Or am I missing something?
Comments welcome.

Some men have cancelled the e-transfers and reported them as fraud. The SP now has to call the bank and prove that she was selling kitty, therefore outing herself. Then the client who fraudulently cancelled the e-transfers will most likely get their Interac access revoked

With digital currencies slowly making their way into the social dialect and governments moving in that direction cash will go the way of the dinosaurs

I don’t accept etransfer anymore because of that. A client said it was fraud and I couldn’t use etransfer for 3 years even though I went to the bank and told them straight up I was selling kitty and provided the proof of the interaction and everything.

Cash is king. A cashless society is a government's paradise, this is what they want. Everyone will be monitored, every transaction will be taxed. If cash disappears, sex work will change forever. Either it will become extremely prohibitive to book an escort or government will make it legal and begin to regulate the industry and tax all financial transactions.

I’m curious. Was he a regular client?
That too bad because the a…hole took advantage of an essential security protection…

I need to find a way to do e-transfer from the US with credit card. A regular SP I see prefers it... but unfortunately I don't think it's possible

Before you could use WiseTransfer, it allowed non Canadians to make e-transfers. I am not sure if that’s still a possibility.

Have you tried crypto? In the US it’s actually really easy to get crypto and for us here in Canada too. Those aren’t tracked to find what it’s for. ‍♂️

I have no desire to use crypto. I have no use for that.
