Was propelled to worldwide fame by the Netflix series "Bad Blood", although not sure how popular that show was outside Quebec. I enjoyed it.Vito Rizzuto for sure.

Loved that show! Strange, though, how the 1st season is based on reality, and then following seasons are fictional. Was propelled to worldwide fame by the Netflix series "Bad Blood", although not sure how popular that show was outside Quebec. I enjoyed it.
Um, I have this horrible feeling that you're actually serious here, Beav. Here is Shatner's convocation address at McGill- sure sounds like his French is pretty good at the beginning of his speech:
Not really, but his French did sound pretty good to my ears, which of course really do not know good French from suck-ass French. But I go by the music test: if it sounds good, then it must be good.Um, I have this horrible feeling that you're actually serious here, Beav.
His French was like 6 words and he sounded like some guy from NDG who had been practicing those six words for several weeks. Not really, but his French did sound pretty good to my ears, which of course really do not know good French from suck-ass French. Practice makes perfect, as they say. I am sure he also practiced his English lines before each episode of the Star Trek was filmed. His French was like 6 words and he sounded like some guy from NDG who had been practicing those six words for several weeks.
I can’t stand her voice tho i recognize it’s a good singer. we shared the same hairdresser when i was a teenager. In dormitory at catholic private school we were forced to listen to her pope song every night, it was the year she sang at le stade olympique for jean paul 2, it was the beginning and the end of celine for me. I recommend the book let’s talk about love, a journey to the end of taste by carl wilson from the 33 1|3 serie, it’s abook about celine, quebec and musical taste written by the music journalist of the now gone montreal weekly ´ »mirror«. I don’t necessarily agree with all he says but it’s still very interestin.Lou you may be surprised but I used to adore Celine when I first heard her sing in French on a Quebec city radio station..
I bought her first French album. I saw her at her first concert at Theatre St. Denis when she couldn`t fill the venue.
We also shared the same dentist .
I was thrilled to hear her sing her first English hit on the radio when I was driving in California.
I still think Shatner is way more famous especially after world wide coverage of his space trip.
Alice Roby... dans les années 40-50-60 elle était connue à travers le monde entier Europe / Afrique / Asie / Pacifique... Je pense que seul les pingouins ne la connaissaient pas .
His French sounded like mine.Practice makes perfect, as they say. I am sure he also practiced his English lines before each episode of the Star Trek was filmed.
How can your list not include GSP George St-Pierre? I mean... the GOAT of fighting...Interesting topic. My choices (probably in that order too):
Celine Dion
Leonard Cohen
William Shatner
Oscar Peterson
Gilles Villeneuve
Jacques Villeneuve
Pierre Trudeau
Mario Lemieux
Eugenie Bouchard
Leyla Fernandez
Hey. I thought of including GSP. He is one of the biggest stars of MMA, but I thought tennis was more popular globally. And I wanted to keep the list to 10. Maybe I put too much thought into this!!How can your list not include GSP George St-Pierre? I mean... the GOAT of fighting...
You did a good job, except that Shatner is #1 on any list that is real and takes into consideration the global impact of the person through multiple genres and medias. There seems to be a lot of confusion about popularity within Quebec vs. popularity outside Quebec and people are not paying attention to the thread title, but your top ten list is fair, just the order is disputable.Hey. This is not scientific. I also debated that question. I felt music had a farther reach internationally than TV or cinema. For example, it would be easier to be exposed to an artist‘s song in a cab or a bar on the radio than to watch a TV episode or movie. This debate is likely to go on for ever! You did a good job, except that Shatner is #1 on any list that is real and takes into consideration the global impact of the person through multiple genres and medias. It's not just TV and Cinema, as your "debate" failed to take into consideration the substantial impact of multi media marketing of a large international corporation that is a giant in the travel industry. Every person in every country of the world who has ever used Priceline- BILLIONS of people- have seen these images for the last 20 years:I also debated that question.
