Hey guys, i moved couple days ago and despite it being lots of work im so happy of my new place. Only thing that really pissed me off is that the moving guys, the "demenageurs" broke my 43 inches HD gaming TV. At least they where honest and showed it to me, i came to a settling with the compagny, not full new value but 90%... it had only 2 years. Only thing is im pissed cause Plasma does not exist anymore in the new, but i heard LED is pretty good for gaming as well. If you have sugestion put them there (brand, style etc) Looking for the faster images refreshing/processing TV out there suitable for online competitive gaming (First/Third Person Shooter). Gonna go TV shopping tomorow. All was closed thiis week end...

ANYWAY that being said, i met my new neighbors and OH BOY !!! The guy look pretty cooll too but the lady ... damn she is hot !! She has man mades and could easily be an SP. I think she used to be a waitress or something but i don't think she ever was an SP. Funny thing is in the past she actually poped a few times in the "sugested friends" on Facebook cause my town is small... and she must know peoples i know and anyway to make it short, when i saw her profile i tough to myself "dammmnnnn this lady is hot, she would be popular in MTL". And now she lives in the same place as i do lol.

Sorry if this look like an horny teenager but i hope she like to get tanned under natural sun :p

I think im gonna like this new place ... yup !!

Fridge in my gaming room, bathroom next door, my room is huge, all my consols including retros will be ready to be played at will, obviously when i get new TV lol. Super hot neighbor

:amen:

Congrats on the new place.. For a gaming TV the Visio M is good also the Sony X800D is impressive.
Good luck

Broke TV = excuse to upgrade.

Go Ultra HD (4K) dude. Sony or Samsung are usually good bets.

Nah... i couldn't care less for 4K, im not interested much on visuals, only thing that matter to me is no TV/Imput lag. I played games on some HD TVs back in the days and it was hell, there was like 0.5 secs of imput lag, i couldn't even properly played Mortal Kombat. So i really need the fastest TV.

Plus on top of 4K not really be relevant to me, it cost much more. Like i said they gave me around 90% of the value of my TV, i will still have to pay 75 to 100$ from my pockets... even for a regular HD. I prefer to keep my money for a MTL Meeting... LOL

Mine was a samsung and yeah i loved it, Sony usually do good stuff, i mean they make Playstations so they must know gaming lol. But i never heard of "Visio" before. Will try to keep this in mind.

If you google best gaming TV the Visio P comes up ( expensive ), the second choice is the M series, the Sony I mentioned also is very fast, these are gaming TV's not best for movie.

Site I looked at. http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/best/by-usage/video-gaming Best buy carries them, if you can get lucky refurbished ones are at a good discount if they have some available, same warranty as new.

Not sure what your budget is but this is a great buy. http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product...10736613.aspx?lang=en-ca&pcname=&sku=10736613

My TV was also damaged during my move a few months ago and it gave me a reason to upgrade, i shopped around and i finally settled with the Sony 4K 50 inch LED, android smart TV, i purchased it for 1000$ with a two year no interest credit loan, not bad, 44.27$ a month for two years.

Its been good to me so far, i set up all my favorite sites, Netflix, kodi and all of that, great picture, hooked it up to my surround sound, Blu-ray and of course my PlayStation, I just finished watching Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot looked great on it. Went to the theater to see it first, besides the large screen, picture was the same.

Dont go anything less then 4K, tv shows are the best, looks like they are there in the room with you.

Thats my opinion from my experience.

And also, dont go for the 300$ for them to come to your house for the screen adjustment, they will try and even cut the price in half if you say no, but hey you can calibrate the set yourself.

Well 1000$ is definately out of budget ... lol. I won't go over 550$. I can't get a credit loan sadly. I already have a loaded credit card...

I don't need a smart TV, my Xbox One act as the brain... i can watch Netflix on it and it also serve as a media center and all you need. I can hook my computer to the TV with an HDMI cable for internet related stuff.

I hardly ever watch TV outside Hockey. My TV is strickly for gaming and i watch maybe 35 of the 82 games of the season... sometimes less.

But your post really remind me one thing, my TV had a coaxal plug... so i could hook up my Surround System (yup its a bit oldie but it work great, was my grand-fathers and i got it when he died, so it never ran too loud...before i started using it) I fear new TVs may not have it... ill have to note this.

Wonder Woman was great, but how you watched this at home? CAM version? Think i watched this once in my life and i hated it so badly lol, never again i said.

And 300$... or even 150$ to calibrate a screen... wtf... lol Whats next? 50$ for them to set the clock? :p

And Thor sorry for your TV, did you got the insurance?

Joel : Thanks man

My new 4K has a coaxial port, i love it. No insurance, had 2 friends move me, and i didn't know TV was broken til i plugged it in and there was a simulated spiders web all thru the screen, lol. no big deal, it was time and it was a good upgrade. As for the credit, i too have maxed out cards and credit not to good but they gave me 2 years interest free so i couldn't refuse, i need my TV. And also, there are all kinds of cables and converters these days to hook up everything. I had trouble with sound from my amplifier, so i had to do some converting and now everything is hooked up. And i am sure you can find something for 600$ or less that will fit your needs, just think, if you don't hobby for a month, there's a 1000$ TV, just saying. lol.

And as for Wonder Woman, i did go see it at the theater a couple of weeks ago but it is on Kodi with a 1080 output, perfect picture, as long as you don't mind some Chinese subtitles which i have gotten use to, no cam....If you have patience, Kodi is great.

Hope all works out HM, enjoy your neighbor and her outdoor activities, i will include her sunbathing clothing optional in my prayers.

Oh ok, that must be the worst feeling... I helped a friend moved out last year, i put the DVD player on the backseat and when he opened the door it fall down, it still work but the outside lost some plastic on the edge. Its like a 20$ worth DVD player so no big deal but still i felt bad, i hate breaking my stuff but i hate even more breaking other peoples, you never know how they really take it.

Yeah there is that...

And i am sure you can find something for 600$ or less that will fit your needs, just think, if you don't hobby for a month, there's a 1000$ TV, just saying. lol.

I hope ill be able to, gonna check that in a few hours. But your dead wrong on the hobbying thing lol, take me 2 to 3 months to be able to go have ONE meeting, im already several months away from MTL and planning a late summer trip or early fall next, but would i put 500$ more on a TV, you can pretty much assume i would had to wait to december to hobby again...

And yeah well subtitles aint too bad but weirdly i really dislike useless subtiles, i mean i often watch movies in cantonese from China, usually Sammo Hung flicks or other martial arts movies, at some point you don't reallize your "reading" the entire movie, they speak cantonese but it feel like your just watching a normal movie, that is if its good obviously. But sometimes i watch stuff for exemple in english but subtiles in french and its soooo annoying, im always dropping eyes to the subtiles even if i don't need to. I even do it when its english language with english subtitles or french for both.

Oh thanks for your research Sol, sadly exept the one in sherbrooke all the others where way too far. But honestly i don't trust enough peoples to buy something used at 400$... At least with the store you have a warrenty of 1 year.

I just come back from there... honestly i didn't spent too much time "shopping" cause honestly i don't have time for this right now and the store where i bough it at least come home to install it. Not that its much complicated or anything but that way you sure it get right on its spot without any risk of damages. I bough a 49 inches Highsense (or something like that) TV, the guy said its kinda new in Canada but its good stuff. I had to pay 150$ from my pockets... I had another option where i would had only to pay 70$ out of my pockets but it was a 40 and it looked so much smaller than my broken TV... even tough it was only 3 inches less. Well since im in a bigger room now and farter from TV i guess the extra 6 inches is welcome...

Only thing is im getting delivered wednesday... so another 2 days without TV.... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarg lol. Thanksfully i have my computer, but its not a gaming computer. But at least i can watch shows and stuff...

LOL... gotta admit tho I've been down that road as well. Used to have 2 hot neighbors on my floor a few years back. Was very tempted and it came close a few times. But so close to home is a really bad thing. Instead, we became friends and I soon found out they had very very sexy female friends and they were always happy to introduce me.

Come to think of it, they introduced me to 2-3 good fuck friends and even a girl that eventually became my gf for a few years.

Best ROI on an appartment I ever had! Now, seems like I'm surrounded by elderly frustrated people... I miss those days.

She is living in the same apartment complex as you are, how is she 5x out of your league?

Lol its not an appartement complex... its a house(with couple appartements) in a small village, but anyway the appartement is irrelevant, when i say she is 5x out of my league is only talking in terms of look, im not even taking her job in the equation or anything. She look like that hot waitress in a bar you know you have zero chances with. Im not even looking for one(chance) anyway, like i said she has a boyfriend and the dude seem pretty nice and all. I only mentioned her cause its kinda funny, i never lived next door to a hot girl like this. And if you guys followed me up a bit over the years you know im really into teenage comedies and that kinda remind me of the girl next door... one of my favourite movie. :)

Yes, never think a girl is out if your league, my ex was uber hot, many of my friends said I was extremely lucky to marry her. She married me because I had a good sense of humor and treated her well.
We were happy for 18 years. Never ever think someone is too good for you, I proved that wrong.

So true STN!

For me too I scored a hot chick because I have good sense of humor and I am a free minded entrepreneur. She left me because I am immature and a free minded entrepreneur ;)
We are the best friend there is now, and having that hot intelligent chick gave me the benefit of having 2 absolutely beautiful kids! Beauty wise, It's 80% her 20% me those kids haha
