Look behind you.
Next game for the Leafs is Saturday night in Toronto against the habs. Prediction: Leafs win & it won't even be close.

Looks like your hockey predictions are on par with political predictions. Had to throw the jab in.

I don't understand how the Leafs managed to blow a 4-1 lead in the third and lose to the Habs last night.

Because their defense isn’t as good as you thought it is and certainly wasn’t championship caliber v. Habs. That’s why I suggested a Weber for Nylander trade. Maybe they can get the Habs to take Kerfoot instead after last night.

Hoffman's wife always denied cyberbullying Karlsson's wife. If i remember correctly she claimed her account had either been hacked or someone was impersonating her on social media with a fake account.

By the way Mike Hoffman's most productive season was with the San Jose Sharks. ;)

Doc did you miss my use of the word “alleged” to describe the cyber bullying? However texts that were circulated among Senator WAGs after the baby was born stillborn revealed the other WAGs belief that she hated Karlsson wife, hence they asked her NOT to send any gift or sympathy message in the name of the other WAGs as she had suggested.

Regarding Hoffman, he had a career high 70 points with Florida last year which was by far his most productive season:

One of the Leafs or Lightning will have a 3 game losing streak. I am disappointed with the play of these two leading contenders, blowing leads and not playing crisply on defense. The way TB flamed out in the playoffs last year coupled with these poor performances at Florida and Carolina really has me shaking my head. And while many in the press anointed the Leafs, what exactly is it based on? They have a history of losing to the Bruins and blowing big leads while doing so, and showed the same disturbing tendency against Montreal with fans variously blaming lack of rest and a backup goalie. Too many excuses, just go out and play like a champion and not chumps.

I expect Monster Mantha to have a big year - 40 goals

Neal has a hat trick at the end of the second. 7 goals last year and 5 goals in less than 3 games this year.
Edit.... Neal just scored again.

Marleau had 37 points in 82 games last year- his productivity has declined precipitously and the only possible reason to sign him is for leadership and very little ice time. My prediction is he will get hurt quickly and he will not play in all of the remaining games despite his past durability. Breaking down is what old horses due, and it’s sad to watch but that’s what is going to happen.

Patrick Marleau is a very good signing for the Sharks. He signed for the league minimum and will give the team some leadership and experience any team needs. He's still one of the league's best skaters and never gets injured. Plus HE WANTS TO PLAY FOR THE SHARKS.

His production did drop last season but it was mostly because he spent the year on the third line and the likes of Matthews, Marner, Kadri & Tavares took up most of the time on the power play.

The signing is a no-risk and no-brainer for the Sharks. But Joe Thornton more than anything is the main reason why Marleau is now a Shark once again. Just the other day he mentioned that it was a shame that Patrick Marleau still hadn't been signed by an NHL team. But let's not forget that Marleau could have stayed with the Hurricanes but chose to opt out instead in order to sign with a west coast team.

Mantha has been the MAN and if off to a great start, but he hasn’t yet sniffed a 30 goal season, never mind 40:

https://www.nhl.com/player/anthony-mantha-8477511

He is on an upward trend and 40 goals is a possibility, but 30-35 is a more reasonable trajectory based on his career progression so far.

i'm banking on him tucking in 40 due to the fact that Larkin's expected to have his breakout year - expect a lot from this line
