Hey, I just stumbled upon this and was wondering what these events are like ... I'll be in town that week and am thinking about making an apperance!!!

GT!! I was going to suggest it myself... I am returning this week therefore it will be my greatest pleasure to help out... I would love to make it more at the begginning of July because Im going to a Bryan Adams Concert (yes... hopeless romantic) on the 16th and probably organizing a tour thereafter.

I also would like to open this up to couples, not exclusive, but organize a theme that would allow for some discretion.
This could also be a nice leader for those who would like to "scratch the surface" of such an encounter. This GT could lend itself to broaden some horizons

Here's some questions for you guys that many Merbites might be asking themselves. In part I guess because we didn't read all the proper threads.
I have been hobbying for a while but I keep it to myself a lot mainly because of all the problems that can occur...
But after reading meany of you here, I think it would be nice to meet some of you who seems perfect gentlemens and some of you SPs that seems real ladies. Despite the nature of our 'hobby'.

1-Can you be more specific about how you guys plan to do on a GT. I mean, aside from meeting, talking, having a drink and decide if some will go for a nightcap.
2-Can you tell for exemple some of the anecdotes that happened in previous GT.
Or if any of you could PM me if you don't want to discuss here.
I would be very happy to go to the next one and be 'honnored' in meeting some of you.

What else did you have in mind? It has occured that guys will ask an SP to his room that night, but more often than not it happens in the following days.
2) Hmmm,I remember some agency girls putting on a real hot show at the last GT... or how about the time a certain gentleman was sucking on my toes? or how about the time my duo partner and I got a little hot and heavy? I do remember some intense grinding action happening with various SPs (of course not all are exhibitionists and many are discreet)... all in good fun of course! Oh yeah the time I went up to the pool and was ready to go skinny dipping on a 100$ dare... the guys backed out so I lifted my dress and flashed my pantiless butt and said sorry you just lost out!

Shijak has organized a couple of successful GT's so my advice to anyone who is interested in organizing one is to ask him for some tips, he also knows how to bring the babes.

Well, too bad for me. I am elsewhere every Friday and Saturday in July, but will be with you in spirit, and look forward to the post party posts. A note to the first timers... Go, enjoy yourself. At the very least you will have a good time, at the very best, you will make some very good friends as I have.

As I live in the fair city now, I am likely to be around whenever the party will be held. Heck I can even plan my time away from Montréal so I don't miss it, as long as I know a little in advance. I am so looking forward to this!
The GT's I attended all left me with a smile afterwards, and I am still in touch with quite a few people I met this way. After attending two GT's in Québec City, I have helped convince some of that bunch to come and join us this next time. They are already talking about renting a mini-bus...
Talking about Québec City, one thing they do there which I really like is hold a dinner prior to the "lounging" part of the evening, and they always manage to find a private dining room in which to do it. It allows for everyone to talk a little freer, even one time, we all got up in turn to introduce ourselves (if we so wished of course). It was très cool.
If the GT is at the Hôtel de la Montagne, I will go anyway. And my comments I hope will be viewed as constructive, I know Shijak and other people who have organised in the past have worked hard. But: to me, HDLM is like an R-Rated version of the "Love Boat" series. The only thing I like about the HDLM bar is meeting you folks. I find that place dated, cheesy, rococo, rundown, garish, no food to talk about and they cant even serve wine at the proper temperature. Like I said, not complaining about previous efforts, but this is Montréal, we have choices, we can do better.
May I suggest: there are a few restos on Prince-Arthur that have 2nd floor banquet facilities. Of course, we have to get a minimum headcount commitment. I am willing to help with the logistics.
Afterwards, we can all congregate at the Radio Lounge, the Ballroom or some other hot spot on St-Laurent, lift a few eyebrows...
Looking very much forward to it, whenever and wherever it is!

Nouba à Montréal!
Comme je réside à Montréal maintenant, il y a des bonnes chances que je sois au prochain party, peu importe la date. Je peux même ajuster mes voyages en conséquence si je le sais à l'avance. Que j'ai hâte!
Je suis toujours revenu de ces soirées avec un sourire ineffaçable, et plusieurs des personnes que j'y ai rencontrées son mes amis aujourd'hui. Après deux soirées "MER" à Québec, j'ai convaincu certains d'entre eux de se joindre à nous pour la prochaine Nouba montréalaise! Ils parlent même de louer un minibus...
Parlant de Québec, j'aime bien leur formule de souper privé, suivi d'une soirée dansante dans un lounge. Au premier GT de Québec, les gens ont été invités à se lever à l'heure du café et se présenter s'ils le désiraient. Moi, j'avais trouvé ça génial!
Si le GT est à l'Hôtel de la Montagne, j'y serai. Mes commentaires sur l'endroit ne reflètent en rien l'admiratrion que j'ai pour Shijak et les autres qui nous ont organisé de belles soirées dans le passé. Mais: ce bar est pour moi comme une version un peu "vulgaro-porno" de "La Croisière s'amuse". La seule chose que j'aime de ce bar, c'est de vous y rencontrer... C'est suranné, usé à la corde, vulgaire, rien de bon à bouffer et ils ne sont même pas foutus de servir le vin chambré. Comme je dis, je ne me plains pas des parties précédents. Mais, nous sommes à Montréal après tout. On peut faire mieux.
Pourrais-je suggérer: Il y a quelques restos sur Prince-Arthur où on peut louer des salles à l'étage. Évidemment ça prend un nombre minimum de gens. Je suis prêt à aider dans ce sens.
Et après, nous pouvons nous rassembler dans une des boites dansantes sur St-Laurent, comme le Radio Lounge ou le Ballroom, peut-être même surprendre les jeunes chromés!
Alors, je serai de la partie, peu importe où et quand!

The mother load of all GTs!
Confirmed!
We are pushing the date to Friday July 18th, 2008. Enough time for preparation and to have the room reserved. It is a Club/Lounge with a VIP section. Clean place, young crowd, cool music and a little more discreet. The location has yet to be reserved to I will let Porter announce it.
I pulled some strings and can confirm the following: TWO/DEUX agencies sop far will be present, and more to come. We are still looking for sponsorship for the event and will announce here, on MERB, the main sponsors. Like I said the mother of all GTs. Still remember the first GT we have on MERB and want it still that way!
