I seems that you don't wish to attend the party so I suggest that you don't.

In all the previous parties, I have never heard anyone talk about anything illegal. No prices are needed to be discussed there with the providers present as everyone is a board member & they all know the various prices. If someone wishes to make a private deal with a provider they go off in a quiet alcove or corner & do so. These parties are strictly a social event for people to meet & EB is totally correct in saying that there isn't anything wrong with people meeting to have a drink or 2 together & nothing more than that. If you have trouble having a conversation with people, fellow hobbyists & providers on topics other than your little friend, than I suggest that you don't attend.
