What an historic and magic night for Drew---my HERO---yesterday when he became the NFL'S all time leader in yards passing :yo::yo::yo: . He did it with a certain panache on a 62-yard tdown pass during the second quarter of a victory 43-19 over the Redskins.....incredible. Was so happy to watch that memorable

game ....i was cheering so loud.....one of my best moment......thanks Drew.

Brees is completing 77% of his passes (leads NFL), has a passer rating of 122 (leads NFL), and is on pace for over 5,000 passing yards, which he has done 3 or 4 times previously. All this at age 39- he is a finely aged wine.

It's going to be KC's first loss. With Edelman back and Josh Gordon with a few weeks in the system now, the Patriots are a MUCH better passing attack than they were without these two premium targets. Both were contributors in the game last week, and they will get better and better starting tonight against KC's shaky defense.

Right about KC’s first loss...The Chiefs lost but Mahomes was tremendous again. Another 4 TDs day at the office. The game just came down to whoever had the ball last. A fantastic game.

I watched the game. His overall stats were good but they obscure the fact that he didn't play well at certain points but fared much better in the 2nd half. He overthrew two critical passes in the first drive that would have been a TD for sure. Instead, they settled for a field goal.
Even if they scored on that drive and kicked FGs on the next two drives, as they did, they would have won the game given the final score.

But you're right about the last person to have the ball though. Defense has been nonexistent pretty much this entire season. Even Jacksonville, the best ranked defense, has given up 70 points in their last two games.

Yep the game i was expecting....fun, crazy and wild.....offensive showcase 83 pts......Chiefs came back with 31 pts in second half BUT was not enough...as mentionned they lost on a field goal last play of the game.

Brady did some very bad plays BUT some fantastic passes and ran for a t.down on a very bizarre play to win that spectacular game. Doing so Brady won his 200th victory as starting quaterback, tops all time regular season. He passed also former teammate Vinatieri for most career wins ---regular and playofs with 227.

Like him or not he deserves RESPECT.

Carmine,

I agree that Mahomes stats looked better than his play would indicate as he missed some guys who were wide open.

Defense is nonexistent because the defensive players are no longer allowed to play. They are confused by the helmet rule and the strike zone on hitting QBs. I don’t think bump and run coverage is allowed any more.

In the case of KC, they are short and missing players in their secondary. However that pass interference penalty on Gordon was absurdly violative of the rule. The DB was hanging on Gordon all the way down the sideline, horse collared him to the ground and Gordon still almost made the catch! Gordon had 9 targets and 5 catches last night.

Here is a good example of the confusion of NFL defensive players. The Chiefs LB Speaks says he let Brady go in for that TD because he thought he would be flagged for a penalty. He thought Brady had released the ball:

Chiefs LB: Feared flag so let Brady go on TD https://es.pn/2OXtGiS

One reason why Brady is so good is that he pump fakes really well and if the defensive pass rusher thinks a pass was released he will let up. So Brady basically pump faked the dude into a lay up TD

Yeah no more bump and run. You can only jam WRs within the first 5 yards. Most of the rule changes over the years benefit the offense. In between the CBA of no more tackling in practice and rules protecting the QB at all costs, the league is fucking up. I feel bad for that Chiefs player. He was probably thinking about those ridiculous roughing-the-passer calls that went against Clay Matthews in consecutive weeks. High scoring games will no longer be special if nearly every game is 60-80 point totals. A friend of mine wagered on an under 40 point game for Green Bay and San Francisco last night. Sucker!

Both Mahomes and Trubisky of CHI Bears have big arms. They are similar in that they both throw a high velocity tight spiral ball with a seeming flick of the arm. Trubisky also runs very, very well. These guys are very good. Mahomes is going to be an easy pick for NFL Offensive Rookie Of The Year. It’s impressive what mistake free football he is playing as a rookie. He is much more advanced than the 4 top 10 QB rookies drafted this year who have all had their ups and downs (mostly downs) as they adjust to their rookie seasons in the NFL. Mahomes not really a pure rookie as he had one year to train under Alex Smith. It was very wise of KC to let Smith go as they knew Mahomes was ready to be a starter. The other 4 pure rookie QBs aren’t totally ready.

All of the above being said Mahomes would have had 5 TDs last night but he missed a wide open TE Kelce in the end zone. Kelce had LB beat by 10 yards and Mahomes didn’t even look in his direction and KC settled for FG. It didn’t matter but did show he isn’t perfect!
