I agree, if i was the coach i would have been all over Bailey for coasting, he almost cost his team possession of the ball, 7 points and maybe the game.

I'm not so sure that Champ coasted. More like he ran out of gas, or oxygen at that altitude. In the locker room afterward, Shanahan gave Champ the game ball.

Choke job

Absolutely unbelievable how that ref could have possibly ruled that Polamalu INT to be an incomplete pass. Worst blown replay call ever. If a ref can't get the call right with the help of high tech video recording equipment which can slow the play down to thousandths of a second then he doesn't belong as a ref in the NFL. Shannon Sharpe had an interesting theory though, something about "Archie Manning making a guest appearance as a ref?" I'm glad the Colts didn't win, they totally choked and didn't deserve to win. Another wasted oppurtunity for Peyton. Where do they go from here?

The Colts performance today had to rank right up there as one of the biggest choke jobs ever. They were given every opportunity, even by the refs, to tie or win the game and they blew it. Joey Porter of the Steelers was right on when he called them soft on offense. You live by the pass, you die by the pass.

Thats funny Ben Watson who is a lot bigger and had to cover more ground and ran twice as hard looked fine, did his route have more oxygen than Bailey's?, i guarantee you that if Bailey had turned over the ball shanahan would have been all over him for coasting.

If you are from Baltimore or a long-time Colts fan, then the answer is obvious. In the middle of the night on March 29,1984, franchise owner Robert Irsay moved the team to Indianapolis in Mayflower Transit trucks. Irsay is almost universally hated by fans in Baltimore. Since then, the Colts have had mixed success at best. Prominent old-time former Baltimore Colts players such as Hall-of-Fame quarterback Johnny Unitas disassociated themselves from the team, and began to back the Baltimore Ravens, who began play in 1996. I say good riddance. Even though I'm not from Baltimore, as an SF Bay Area resident I watched Al Davis pull a similar move when he took the Raiders to LA. Irsay and Davis: both true assholes.

Why?? IMHO they are now the heavy favorites, even without Alexander (who is supposed to come back...)! I really don't see anyone capable of beating this team! Only an injurie to Hasselback and Alexander could, MAYBE, keep them from winning! But their D is just too good!

What's with all the anti-Manning comments?

Archie was a good QB on some really bad teams.

Eli is only a second year QB who has improved considerably since he came into the league. He was not solely responsible for the Giants meltdown against Carolina. That was a total team effort! He did lead the Giants into the playoffs in only his second year.

As for Payton Manning, I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of his. But again, he isn't a one man show. Football is the ultimate team sport, and even though it might not have been very wise on his part to suggest it, his offensive line didn't do a very good job last Sunday. Plus that highly rated Indy defense sucked.

People who throw the word "choke" around generally have no idea what they are talking about.

As for this weekend, Go Steelers!!!
