I personally think Gallant should be a head coach somewhere in the NHL, but I think a lot of organizations see him as too old. They want someone younger than can "grow" with the team. And some other organizations like hiring from within.

Look behind you.
Heard they may cancel the last 3 Flames Canucks games since they are out of the playoffs and covid being the thing.

On NYC talk radio this morning the Rangers GM Jeff Gordon is coming under tremendous criticism for not having an enforcer on the roster to go after Wilson, someone like Tie Domi or George LaRacque that can goon the other team's goon. He is basically being blamed for the Panarin injury.

Wow...ridiculous....WILSON has been fined 5,000 for roughing...that's the maximum allowable/peanuts......should have been suspended at least for 3 games if not for the rest of the season....

Wilson has 5 previous NHL suspensions and I thought this was a lock for #6. For him to get off with a $5,000 fine is incredible.

The Rangers are a team that was incessantly bullied without retaliation this year, and this needs to change. They need a bigger goon who can fight back against the Wilsons of the league. Gordon has to get such a player in the offseason. It should not cost a lot. Just need someone who can kick Wilson's ass. None of the Rangers younger players seem to enjoy getting hit and they need to toughen up!!! This is why they aren't in the playoffs.

Rangers Respond To NHL with Harsh Statement:

"The New York Rangers are extremely disappointed that Capitals forward Tom Wilson was not suspended for his horrifying act of violence last night at Madison Square Garden. Wilson is a repeat offender with a long history of these type of acts and we find it shocking that the NHL and their Department of Player Safety failed to take the appropriate action and suspend him indefinitely. Wilson’s dangerous and reckless actions caused an injury to Artemi Panarin that will prevent him from playing again this season. We view this as a dereliction of duty by NHL Head of Player Safety, George Parros, and believe he is unfit to continue in his current role."

Rangers Fire GM Gorton, President Davidson, Hire Drury To Both Roles:
Great move, I liked Drury as a player and he has slowly worked his way up the ladder in the NY Rangers organization. Full disclosure: I am a semi frequent customer at the restaurant he owns in CT (which makes very good pizza- they specialize in a pizza with red hot oil), but I never met Chris there.
