This is ridiculous, teams are postponing games against the Rangers because they don't want to get their asses kicked and the Rangers are not getting any points. I don't like that teams are being allowed to manipulate the rules to avoid playing teams that are hot......it's not fair.
hmmm yeah they should let them play with your rangers so they can share their germs ... sharing is caring ... :)

So this sucker punch by Brendan Gallagher on Barclay Goodrow gets a $2500 fine:
And this glove toss gets $5000 fine???????
And you guys post seriously as though the NHL applies all of its rules fairly? Most punches do not even get fined and they are a criminal assault. What Panarin did was nothing --it's like what kids do playing in the snow in Montreal, and nobody cares.

If I give Bettman the same sucker punch that Gallagher gave Goodrow as Bettman walks out of the NHL offices, all I need to do is pay a $2500 fine? Maybe I should sign up for that.

Lemieux Bites, Bloodies Brady Tkachuk's Hand; Tkachuk Calls Lemieux A "Complete Brick Head":
My only question is whether Lemieux has received his rabies shots?

Should it be the opposite ?
And the other question should be is Lemieux the brother of Suarez ?

..... This is ridiculous. Do players get fined for punching other players?
LoL!!!...Bettman's ridiculous rules and policies!!...the moron probably got this from his NBA days!...The problem is that Bettman probably still doesn't realize that he is running a hockey league and not a basketball league!!!

Right on Sharkman- most punches do not get fined at all, Gallagher's violent sucker punch only resulted in a $2500 fine and it was probably the most vicious punch I have seen in the NHL this year, but then Panarin gets $5000 for throwing a glove at Marchand. Bettman's own kids probably have thrown gloves at each other resulting in no fines or punishment of any kind from Bettman. The NHL rules enforcement is a complete joke, yet some people here seem to take it very seriously.

And the Habs could not use him? Look at his recent production, 49 points in 56 games last year. Who on the Habs, except maybe Suzuki, gives this production?

Do you mean Alex Galchenyuk when you say Chuckie? As far as Kane- yes, he is a party boy but you give him a contract that says he has a 10 pm curfew and he is automatically cut if he is caught breaking it. This guy just fired his agent and needs a new employer badly.........he will go anywhere under any conditions if he is paid his value.

I am not sure that there was that much to do in Buffalo or Wininipeg and I am pretty sure he was still a party animal ...

So after Logan Mailloux the Habs will go pick Kane ... I don't know about this one ...

Alan,

Party boys in pro sports will find parties no matter what city they play in. Do you really think Kane was going to bed at 10 pm and drinking milk and cookies as his bedtime snack when he was in San Jose? And remember Kane's real problem was gambling and it's really simple, you tell Montreal Casino security he isn't allowed in the premises. I think you never automatically pass on a player because you are afraid he is a bad fit for the city rather than the team.

So should Montreal have a team of choirboys who go to Church every Sunday and never seek players outside that mold? I don't think you can build a good hockey team that way.

I am not sure if the Habs have some caps space left ? But I do think that the Blue Shirts have some space ? What would U think if they go after Kane ? It will be great for your team ?

The Rangers don't need him. The Habs need him, but wih Gorton my expectation will be FIRE SALE time for the Habs. The next couple of NHL drafts look great, and if the Habs tank a little bit they can get Shane Wright:

Igor has been winning ESPN player of the game almost every game he plays and the fans have taken notice. He was serenaded with chants of “I-gor! I-gor! I-gor!” throughout the game, especially in the second period when he made seven saves during the Flyers' five-minute power play.

“It's honestly hard to describe. It adds a lot of emotion, a lot of strength,” Shesterkin said through a translator. “It motivates me, definitely. The most important thing is to try to not cry right then and there.”
