The Avalanche just need to toughen up and resist the bullying. The Oilers are a shit team defensively so it shouldn't matter that much.
Edmonton need their players to fucking skate, the entire team, not always rely on the same 3 guys, its the play offs! I'm sure they could put up a much better opposition to the Avs.
Like expected, Evander Kane injured Kadri with a deliberate dangerous body check.
He got a 5 minutes penalty.
He should have had a match penalty too.
The LNH do nothing to protect their star players.
AVS up 3-0, but Kadri out due to this:
To me it did not look that bad. As cross-checks go it was a love tap, and some of you guys probably have spanked your children harder. But Kadri's forward momentum made it into a play that was dangerous to touch him on, in any way. Some fans, including those in St. Louis, would say Kadri is not innocent of putting others out of hockey games with nastier hits, and what goes around came around on him.

Considering the speed of both players and the distance to the board, it was not an innocent move by Kane. Kadri is in a vulerable position but he doesn't have to worry too much as the rule is clear about hitting a player that stands 2-5 feet from the board. Since it is confirmed Kadri wont be back,I think Kane will face a 3-4 games suspension.
I would give him one game, although the series could be over in that one game. The only thing that looked "deliberate" was Kane's intention to give a gentle, soft tap. He could have crushed Kadri into the boards, had he wanted to.
And were Kadri's hits against St. Louis "innocent"?

WOW....big big goal by PALAT with only 41sec. to play....exciting game......all top players were involved including both goalies.....and again strong performance by SHESTERKIN.....BUT this time it went on TAMPA'S side....it's far from over.

Kane knew very well what he was doing, trying to put Kadri out of the series.
He is suspended for one game only.
Edmonton deserve to be out of this serie because of their 1970s tactics.
Suspended for one game as I predicted. But Kane's involvement is not going to matter. Edmonton has a shit defensive team- total crap- and was lucky to get this far. I thought Calgary would beat them. But they are going DOWN

No question he's a headhunter. He's not worth much as a defenseman so he has to compensate for his lack of skills.
But what comes around goes around! And eventually someone is going to take him out and have his head served with the The Times Square Ball at the top of the roof of One Times Square on new year's eve!.
