Excellent read that sheds a lot of light. I had wondered what happened at XO. I mentioned in one of my reviews that I had a bad experience there.

I had the feeling I was being watched as I arrived at my last appointment there. It would have been around the time that this was happening. When I arrived, several men came out of adjacent apartments and checked me out as I entered. I mentioned it in my review, and that, along with my experience with the escort, left a very bad taste in my mouth. I never returned.

This article will put a damper on business, of that, I am sure, and I now know that my perception of what happened that day is real.

In fact, it will serve as a time for me to reflect on this whole hobby and the future it holds with me as a hobbyist.

The thing we always said could happen if the police decided that mobilizing enough ressources was justified, well, happened.

From my reading of the article,
it is an accumulation of factors that led to this investigation:
  • Call to 911 from an escort working there alleging having been sexually assaulted;
  • It is also alleged that a seventeen-year old was working for the agency;
  • The scale of the operation;
  • Neighbour complaints.
It will be interesting to follow the judicial process.

I think I will go on a long hiatus.

Me too. I was a client of XO from 2015 to 2018.

It seems the problem really began when the original owner left the agency (or sold it I don`t know). It went downhill and sketchy no?

I do have a very good friend who is a ranked police investigator in Montreal. I have not spoken to him yet, but you know what triggered all this? 2 things:
- Complaints by neighbours. Nobody cares what others are doing if they are peaceful.
- The 17-year-old complains. That is what LE is all about. They have way too much on their plate. But when an underage person is involved, they act!

Exactly! And notice how LE did not arrest clients.

Edit: rereading the article, the investigation seems to have started only when a complaint was filed by the girl from Toronto for procuring.

I am not anti agencies.. I've never worked for one. But I knew these things went down at that place, and at others, because I have a friend who worked there. Including the fact it was known a minor (or more) worked there. I don't want to spread other info because it scares me honestly.

It sucks that because of this type of exploitation everyone, clients and providers, become fearful but in reality it's extremely rare that the police gets involved.. there was just a lot of abuse going on there.

I don't think all of these establishments are equal for having worked at different massage parlours. Some employers will give you a lot of freedom and treat you well.. some, not so much. Some will force you to see the worst clients that no one wants to see, will make girls work long shifts without the ability to leave, etc.

I didnt know about the Fee structure, I knew they would take a cut but 28-30% seems high. Means some Girls making less that 180$/hr, and Article referenced 12 app/day, I never thought it would be more than 4 even 6. I know its not 60min of action but that is still an effort, get cleaned up and ready again shortly after.

They have not after clients, yet. But PoPo now have all the phone numbers of every client who ever made an appointment…..

If they have any imagination at all, they could make calls and I’m pretty sure about 10% of the clients would fin a way to incriminate themselves….

I knew the new chief would stat cracking down on the industry, he did in Longueuil before….

By now, I only see a few ladies that I have known for a while, no agencies, no LL…. But I’ll need time to think this whole thing over. I can’t risk getting medled up with this crap.

But I didn't know there were penalties and fees for being late or not going to an appointment. It may lead to coercion.
I knew about this from what people have told me. A few girls approached me to ask for help on how to quit agency work or asked for advice when going indy because they saw my comments here. I don't think it's the case for all agencies and I don't want to be accused of making clients feel bad for going to them...

In the case of xo, from what I've heard, the owner drugged many girls, threatened to out them etc. This isn't in the article but I believe people who told me because there are other men in the industry who have had this behavior towards employees. It's definitely not everyone and everywhere tho.

My regular told me one of the suspect is an owner of a new agency. I will never book with agencies again.

the cut is higher than what I thought and if the ladies have to pay a fee to cancel etc… it is somewhat coercive.

I sort of understand from a business perspective, they can’t let rooms just go empty. But morally is another thing
From a business perspective you can see anything as worth justifying. Like having minors there pose as 18 year olds, which does happen, and is popular with a certain type of client.. Forcing girls to see aggressive clients because they come back often.. Pressuring girls to offer extras they don't want to offer, etc. It all makes sense ''business wise'' because it brings more money. That doesn't excuse anything.. It encourages drug use, unsafe behavior due to a negative and competitive atmosphere etc.

And no, they are not going to go after clients. Read the room. I think it's weird to worry that the police will come after you when it was revealed that many girls were under pressure and exploited. It's these girls we should be worried about and their well being. Girls confide in their clients too. If you regularly see a certain girl at an agency maybe you can ask her if she's being treated well. I know women who work for agencies and are happy with it. It depends of the place.
