Then stay home and use your hand?Yeah. People continuing to book incall are playing with fire right now.
Even outcall could be sketchy.
Just do your homework before booking an appointment

Thanks for the clarity; didn't know that. I was just expressing from XO/Forever/Sensation perspective as those were the ones I had bookings with last 3 years. Haven't booked Euphoria since 2021 and to your point back then payment at conclusion not upfront.I remember euphoria asking payment upfront since 2024. Indies all ask for payment upfront as well.
Donation upfront can make a lady feel more at east so I have higher chance of getting a good experience. I do my homework well and so far, didn’t had any horrible experience that I regret. Win win
Note to self, change my phone number just in case and never book with agencies again
The law and actually proving it are two separate things. You are besides the point. Read 286.3 carefully
We'll see when/if it goes to trial! The law and actually proving it are two separate things.
By allegedly hiring an undercover agent as an escort they ``procured a person to offer sexual services", which in all likelihood are terms of employment that were discussed in the "job interview"The law and actually proving it are two separate things.
When I was 17 I definitely had sex with men above 20, I would even say men in their 40s none of them thought it would be relevant to ask for my IDs. If they had been caught they would have been in trouble
Because then again, there’s virtually no difference between a 18 and a 17 year old
When you hire a service provider that looks young whether she works by herself or for an agency, there is ALWAYS a risk that you’re hiring a minor. There is no way for clients to know because no girl would show her ID to a client
When you hire a service provider that is a bit older whether she works for herself or for an agency, there’s a risk that she is exploited. Then again, there’s almost no way for a client to know that
I do not blame the people that dealt with XO as clients, there was no way for them to know the conditions in which the service providers were working. But now that you know, why are you still defending it?
Why do you think it’s ok to charge fees to women because they’re late or cancelling. Would you be ok being charge $80 by your employer when you call sick?
I don’t think anyone in their right mind would want to engage in intimacy with a minor. IMO it is somehow abusive. Not only are you not making money that day because you’re not clocking in but on top of that you need to pay your employer??
I don’t know if you were charging them or when it was but the general age of consent is 16 in Canada so assuming they had not coerced you, paid you or been an authority figure to you that sex would have been legal. When I was 17 I definitely had sex with men above 20, I would even say men in their 40s none of them thought it would be relevant to ask for my IDs. We are not discussing same thing.By allegedly hiring an undercover agent as an escort they ``procured a person to offer sexual services", which in all likelihood are terms of employment that were discussed in the "job interview"
Again, see: https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/c-46/section-286.3.html
Completely agree. Now it is greed. Showing up late/cancellations should have been cost of doing business. If she cancels/late multiple times, she is off the roster.I don’t think anyone in their right mind would want to engage in intimacy with a minor. IMO it is somehow abusive.
Personally I don’t feel comfortable seeing a provider who is at least in her mid to late 20s.
If I remember correctly, having to pay 100$ for cancelling the day and 80$ for each client that was booked can add up to a big chunk. It is coercive to enforce those cancellation fee. As a John, I want a provider to be there because she wants to work not because she has to pay a huge cancellation fee if she doesn’t show up.
Xo was voted as the best agency in Montreal many years in a row and it is shocking how they operate behind closed doors. It makes me wonder if other establishment also operate in similar ways. From now on, booking with indies will hurt my wallet but at least I have peace of mind. I have a few regulars from eupjoria and forever that I will miss but it is what it is
My 2 cents
Allegedly a top agency still charges a set fee for cancelling after the schedule has been posted as well as a fee per client if she has bookings alreadyCompletely agree. Now it is greed. There could have been reputational/karma/ relationship issues from getting caught with you though.
There are special rules for close in age below 16 but they are not relevant to the Merb crowd. Paid sex with minors is abhorrent and we should all collaborate for this not to happen.

I think that's LC's whole point.I do not blame the people that dealt with XO as clients, there was no way for them to know the conditions in which the service providers were working. But now that you know, why are you still defending it?

Then illegal if they were aware or should have been aware.Yes money was involved, I met them on a platform meant for that
It's also that life happens. A lot of women are in this business because it's flexible. Many sex workers I know have to stop working for some periods of time, because they have chronic health problems, or they get burned out. If a girl is coerced to work when she's sick, possibly even sick with an STI, or in a really bad mental state that could push her to the edge, what will happen?Completely agree. Now it is greed. Showing up late/cancellations should have been cost of doing business. If she cancels/late multiple times, she is off the roster.
Then illegal if they were aware or should have been aware.
Statute of limitations (no idea how long it is) might apply to these instances if it was long ago
The law was broken because they were making money from the sexual services that other people were offering. that's illegal in Canada.Apart from the under aged girl, was the law broken because the agency supplied a premises to do business.
It’s criminal to receive money, make a financial gain from others’ prostitution. Meaning I can have my own money from my own sex work, but my friend can’t give me a cut and no one can receive a cut from my work. I am tired at the moment, not sure I am explaining this right?Apart from the under aged girl, was the law broken because the agency supplied a premises to do business.
In the article it mentions the charges that have been pressed:Apart from the under aged girl, was the law broken because the agency supplied a premises to do business.
