Former President Obama has written his third book on his favorite subject: Himself.
I understand that this book is a trilogy. I expect that former President Obama will most likely waste millions of dollars to build a presidential library in his name. I hope that he can build one large enough so that he can fit all the books that he plans to write about himself.
How do you feel about presidents building presidential libraries and publishing memoirs? Who reads them? Enclosed is an article entitled Books by Politicians and the People Who Read Them.
The author of the article, Jim Nagle, points out that every politician seems to be writing a book. He asks the question who has the time or inclination to read all these books? He wrote the article after seeing Bernie Sanders on Colbert. He is a self proclaimed fan of Sanders and is willing to read articles about Sander's policies etc. but there is no way he would commit to reading an entire book by the guy. For one thing, the information gets stale very quick and they are not professional writers. In contrast, Winston Spencer Churchill was at one time in his life, the highest grossing Journalist in the world. I've read three four of his books and I can tell you they are very good to this day. But still, I don't think that WSC wrote as many words about himself as Obama. I won't read this dribble.

Books by politicians (and the people who read them)
TX Litblogger Robert Nagle describes why he cannot bring himself to read political memoirs, especially ones by presidential candidates.
