Funny how the hypocrite Quebec bashers suddenly shut the f*ck up when 5 out of 7 of those medals for Canada were won by Quebecers (all 3 golds).

Here's the proof of how gutless those rednecks are when it counts.

Ummmmm, as Doc has said many times b4, his ancestors come from Quebec, lol..... He does not "bash Quebec" to just " bash ", he simply tells the truth and believe it or not, no person, city, country or province is perfect.

Congrats to all the Medals that Canada is winning! (no matter where the athletes come from, kudos!)

Relax, my friend. "Gentle" (Gentle! Ha-ha-ha!!!) likely wasn't referring to me since i haven't 'shut up' for one minute. ;)

Plus, he must know that i absolutely love Quebecers. I make love to them ALL THE TIME!! :eyebrows:

Go Quebec, Go Canada!! :canada:

At the moment Canada and Netherlands are tied with 7 medals and the USA is 3rd with 5. Norway is in 4th. I think Netherlands is only good in speed skating so once we move on to other events, Canada and USA will be pulling away from them, and Norway.

At the last Olympics in Canada the USA won total medal count, with Germany 2nd and Canada 3rd, but Canada won 14 gold medals as compared to 10 for Germany and 9 for the USA.

One can expect that Russia, which was a dismal 6th in medal count in Vancouver, will be in the top 3 this time.

Marianne St-Gelain reaction during the race of Charles hamelin gold medal winer in 1500 meters speed skating short trak. (she,s his gilrfriend). Is your GF cheering for you like this?

She is also a short track speed skater and can appreciate the efforts that Hamelin put into winning that gold medal more than most people can. The short track is a very hard event because a lot of shit can happen, collisions, wipeouts etc. So luck is also a factor.

True. Marianne St-Gelais is a very good speed skater in her own right. She won a couple of silver medals at the last Olympics, which were her first. I believe she'll medal once again at these Olympics.

Two more medals for Canada!!!

One Gold & one Bronze in women slopestyle skiing.

Dara Howell got the gold, and Kim Lamarre got the bronze. Another Canadian fell in her last jump and finished sixth, which likely meant that she would have won a medal had she not fallen.

Another good day for Canada! :canada:

p.s. The winner dedicated her win to the great Sarah Burke, who passed a few years ago due to an accident during a practice session in Colorado.

Updated medals standings

Norway 10
Canada 9
Netherlands 7
United States 6
Russia 6

Expect Netherlands to fade quickly now that the speed skating events are over. I think it will be a 3 horse race between Canada, USA and Russia with the hockey medals looming large and possibly decisive.

I also expect all three countries mentionned to battle it out in figure skating. I also expect Canada to win a few more medals in short track speedskating, and possibly in the remaining skiing events.

Costas Out With Eye Infection

This has been an embarrassment for both Bob Costas and NBC. Nobody should be put on the air wearing funky glasses to hide an eye infection which is obviously getting worse and is now in both eyes. Maybe if Costas was getting proper treatment instead of working he would not now have 2 infected eyes. It is a shame that NBC did not have a back up plan on this from the beginning:

This sounds such like my case a few weeks ago. First one eye, then the other, then both, etc. All the best to Bob Costas, who is one of the best!

Yikes! Looks like a bad infection

I'm not sure if his infection was due to conjunctivitis (pink) eye or some other problem. In my case, i was suffering from keratoconjunctivitis sicca (dry eye syndrome), and once my symptoms (blindness) started to disappear, each eye began to turn red after episodes of straining my eyes such as reading. After a couple of days, the infection would then transfer from one eye to the other, until both eyes were similar to Costas'. My doctor told me to quit the eye drops that i had been taking (e.g. Tobradex) just to see if my eyes hadn't developped a reaction to it.

To my great surprise, my eyes got back to normal a few days later. I then decided to look at my medication's documentation for side-effects. It turned out that 1% of users complained of several reactions from the medication, including redness in the eyes (e.g. conjunctivitis). So who knows....maybe that's Costas' problem.

I still haven't gone back to my contact lenses. I've dealt with dry eye symptoms on and off for the past 4 years and i'm certain wearing contact lenses hasn't exactly helped.

I had to stop wearing contacts because of conjonctivis...when I told my friends it was because my eyes were dry they laughed at me ,saying it was not possible as I was crying so much! I do cry easily lol ,
I re tried a few times because I wanted so much to wear them but not possible..snif

And back to the olympics I want my channels back! All except CBC (I think it is CBC,on àe of the english one anyway) are showing the budget live! I don't give a damn about the federal budget,I want to see my Olympics!

Yes but should NBC have put Bob Costas on the air with such an eye condition, trying to hide them with funky glasses? It was comical. He looks like a rabid dog:
They should have given him shaded glasses. Just like Bob McKown of Primetime Sports.
