Both hockey teams are pretty much assured a medal, today's game wasn't vital accept to the teams mojo, it won't affect their standings since they're both already in the semi-finals. Just finished watching today's game on DVR and it was an ugly performance by the Swedish referee!! It's as though Canada had a 6 skater on the ice aside from the 6 or 7 they got away with when having too many men on the ice all game. Just an absurd performance by the ref has to ruin a good game.

USA kicking some Slovakian ass in hockey, 7-1 end of the 2nd period. Kessel has a goal and an assist and Pacioretty and Kane have assists already.
I've got the USA in the final. Don't know against whom & don't know if they'll win the gold. But i like their balance, their skill, their goaltending & their coaching.
Marcel Aubut had predict before the olympic that the Canadian team will win the most gold medals and also win for the total of medals.The way that the Canadian team go i think it will be impossible to achieve except if a miracle happens.

Henrik Zetterber's Olympics are over
SOCHI, Russia — Sweden captain Henrik Zetterberg will miss the rest of the Olympic men’s hockey tournament because of a back injury.
Sweden made the announcement Friday before facing Switzerland in its second game of the tournament.
Zetterberg scored a goal in the Swedes’ opening victory over the Czech Republic on Wednesday. He sat out of Thursday’s practice because of a herniated disk in his back.
The injury also has bothered the Swedes’ first-line centre during the NHL season with the Detroit Red Wings, forcing him to miss 11 games.
Zetterberg is a four-time Olympian who won a gold medal with Sweden in Turin in 2006. His absence is another blow to the Swedes, who were a medal favourite before Henrik Sedin and Johan Franzen were forced to skip the Olympics with injuries.

This has actually been the best start Canada has ever had at any Olympics, including the ones in Vancouver.

I agree that we have a good start but a this olympic they include much more events than we had at Vancouver.
The difference between these Olympics and the Vancouver ones is that in Vancouver, the close calls were in our favor. We've had way too many 4th and 5th places in some of the events.
I expect at least two medals in Curling and two more in Hockey. Patrick Chan should get us a silver medal, maybe even a gold. Same thing with Moir & Virtue in the dance. Short track speedskating has been a disappointment so far, but we should get at least one or two more medals in that sport. And, a couple more in the snowcross events.
By the way, what the hell is wrong with Alex Harvey? I was sure he could get us a medal, but he's been invisible so far.
For Alex Harvey he said that they used the wrong wax for his skis,it seems ridiculo us but it is the truth.I can't understand why with all the specialist around the canadian team but i think one guy will lose his job in the near future.
