How was the MERB party?

I'm in Toronto right now for a buddy's wedding tomorrow.

Tonight, Saturday night is the bachelor's party.

I had to leave yesterday afternoon.

I think we might be going to Club Pro but I'm not sure, or we may just have a party at the Delta Chelsea Inn in downtown Toronto.

It was nice to be able to attend another one of these events and I hope you keep them going. Thanks for the invite, StipperLover. Great to meet Dee, SugarLoafer, Oliver, and Tom. Also, great to see Ronni again. There were some ladies there I wish I had a chance to meet this time but hopefully the next. And what a surprise to see a couple of lady friends I haven't seen for so long. Nikki still looks wonderful and that goes back to the HeartBreaker days. I was amazed that she remembered so much but she was right on with everything. And Jenny certainly did make some jaws drop. Thanks again to everyone.

Well I attempted to attend the party. I was at the hotel at 8:00pm, asked at the front desk. Nobody heard of merb. Went up to the 20th floor pool. Walked around a bit, didnt speak to anyone. Only saw 1 female up there. Maybe 10 people all together. Went down to the bar and it was packed. Not sure who I should ask for. "Hey excuse me sir are you the Stripperlover? are you Naughty Ronnie? I thought about asking, but figured it was best not to. I wasn't dresed up anyway. I was wearing tan shorts and a blue poloo shirt, so I wasn't dressed well enough for this place. Maybe some other time.

LOL buddy. Stripper Lover may not be the second coming of Bernard Kerik as far as being MERB party security chief, but I can guarantee you he did not tell the front desk to direct those who ask to the "MERB party." I don't think that was a real good move to mention MERB to the hotel staff, JL. But MERB party security is SL's job, not mine, so I'll give you a pass.

I may show up at one of these parties, especially if Stripper Lover goes to one of BK's security seminars, but if I do, it's guaranteed nobody will know who I am.

Nooky, if you read the Solid Gold thread you would see there are multiple hints that extras are indeed possible (but not the norm), specially during the day.

John, I don't think it's the smartest thing to post on the general board about these things as this is not an FS club. Back channel would probably be more appropriate.

One suggestion

You should have a mailing list and email everyone with info on the next party .

And also to make sure that every one that makes it there finds the group you should pick a place where you can reserve or have a section determined to MERB .

Buddy's of mine told me that they where there but had a hard time finding you guy's

That's because as a group we don't stand out. Other than a few good looking girls, we would be hard to spot unless you overheard some conversation.

As far as those who arrive not having been to a previous Merb Party & thus not knowing anyone, I have suggested when you arrive, you go over to a group of people sitting together & ask if they are with the Merb group. If they are NOT Merbites, they will not know what you are talking about so there will be no possible embarrassment so just move on to the next group. Keep in mind, only you know & a fellow Merbite know what Merb is.

If I recall correctly from discussion prior to the first party at a SC that the cover was going to be to ask about the meeting of the "Montreal Economic Resources Board"
